IFS Cloud - New Customers

Hello, I am looking to see if there is a reference guide as to what permissions to assign each role? We are having a hard time doing this. ie: AR AP Customer Service FInance Manger etc If not, I would be greatly appreciative of any insight on this Thanks, Stacey

Is it possible to use an existing quick report (sql query) in data source designer ? The name in quick report is CUSTOMER_ORDER. It is possible to join two views when using datasource designer? I want to join customer_order and customer_order_line by order_no. I don’t have query builder.I am interested to query customer_order where order_ID = ‘xxx’ and in customer_order_line where qty_assigned > 0

Hello, I have an environment IFS 9, in this as the user load increases - more than 40 users. users start getting error - 503 Service Temporarily Unavailabile while Logging in the application, in few atempts they are able to login While doing any processing they get the same error Database size is only 6 GB and performance looks fine Can any one suggest any solution for the same Regards Pankaj

Hello, My Client has not generated absence limit type “Annual” type for the Employee ID 100 for the year 2023. (In 2022R2 Version) But employee ID 100 managed to register an “annual” leave from the My Self Services. We are in cloud 21R2. In the attachments in customer window there are more than 20 documents attached but only 20 records are visible in the attachments, there is no way to change the view to list view. documents are shown only in card view. Is there a way to show all the documents in the attachment section without going to revisions? Only 20 documents are shown

We just tried installing a clean install and everything installed successfully on the middle server and See that all the pods are running successfully but we cannot access IFS from any machine on the local LAN. I am assuming I am missing something basic. Any advise to get past this issue is very much appreciated.

Hi I have the Attribute Inspector enabled in GIS Map Tools. When I select the item on the GIS Map screen it still tries to read the connection with IFS LU Name. I am trying to display the attributes that come from ArcGis as per the attached image.

HI All, We are working in the cloud and looking for a way to reserve goods from one particular warehouse. Our Customer Service Department must have a default Warehouse, so that they could only see the stock from that specified Warehouse, but it they want to see all Warehouses that they could easily switch to stock at all Warehouses. We know about the Part Availability Control and that works good with certain things, but we want to set up something else. So that certain people in the organization can only reserve articles from a specific Warehouse. In users Connected to Warehouses, We can set the Default Warehouse on, but this creates only the possibility in the Work Order / Task. When you than issue the material, you will only see the default/connected warehouse only. And if we want to see all the material in stock we could easily set this to All. So now we are looking for something similar when manual reserving Sales Parts in a Customer Order. Looking forward to your replies.

in IFS Cloud, We would like to create a read only custom field in one entity and it should be based on another custom field in different entity we know use of select statement from table _CFV, _CFT. we would like to know if there is any other way like we use in report using IFS provided API

Hello, while installing 22R2 .\main.ps1 -resource 'KUBERNETES' command was failing as it was not able to install microk8s. After trying many times i ran .\main.ps1 without any parameter and saw in begining itself it was disabling the firewall - Installation was successful after that. Not sure if this was the reson it was failing earlier. I ran .\main.ps1 -resource 'KUBERNETES' again to verify and it worked. Please suggest if there is any change in the steps or we should be checking the firewall status (disable it) before the installation REgards Pankaj

Hi all, is there a way to make sure that there can be one and only one PART_HANDLING UNIT per Part? Hi, I am currently interested in finding information regarding IFS’s user permissions, permission sets, and anything else in that subject. Where can I find this? I’ve looked on IFS Academy but most courses about Administration are paid, which makes it difficult since their descriptions do not mention how in depth they go about permissions, so I am not sure if I should get one course over the other. Hello, What is the best way to link two entities together in IFS Cloud? More specifically, I can pull any field from another entity by creating a read only custom field for the main entity that references that field and links on some key, but there isn’t an option to reference the entire entity. I can go through and make custom fields for every single field the other entity has, but that seems a bit tedious. I’m sure there is a way to do it, but whenever I set a custom field to persistent, and select the data type as reference, it does not seem to pull information, or give me an option to define the link between the two entities. The only thing I can do is define which columns in the entity view to pull in a list of values, which again, isn’t what I want.

So if the use place uses data copied from production, how do I protect sensitive production data in these environments ?Does IFS provide tools to mask/anonimize data ?
