Question

Use multiple usergroups in a context

Hi, trying to use Context Mappings to limit who can edit a section of a page, but it’s for several user groups, not just one.

We have a mixture of user groups names - some have spaces, some don’t. I’ve tried a few things and can’t get it to work.

To be clear, I’m here:

And here’s what I’m using.

There’s nothing in there but user groups, and they’re all in this format:

(USERGROUP = “USERGROUPID HADSPACE”) OR (USERGROUP = OTHERUSERGROUPID), etc., etc.

What am I doing wrong?

Try clearing mappings cache...Im also not sure if underscore is treated as a special character, so those also may need to be enclosed in quotation marks

Phill is correct about clearing the cache may be the issue for you. This and all you need to know about the syntax is to be found in the technical documentation. https://docs.ifs.com/techdocs/25r1/040_tailoring/225_configuration/260_context_based_configuration/#condition

Note: I have seen that some users have mixed up the ‘Accounting Rules’ user groups with the ‘Solution Manager’ user groups. The ‘Context Mappings’ is mapping towards the later only.

Kind regards

Tobias

Well, after all that, they decided to do something different, of course! :) Thanks all!
