Dear community,I am new in IFS Cloud and also new in the BPA / Workflow modeler that’s been integrated.After making my first experiences (almost all positive) I’ve now started looking into the use of Business Rule Tasks… Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to find any documentation about this.Does any on in the community have any experience with this or knows where to find substantial documentation except for IFS Trainings?Thank you in advance.RegardsBart

We want to use “Send Full XML to Connect” as a Report Rule and need the initial selected Printer as a Variable in the XML. I started with this setting:It seems that it is not possible (23R2) to use Substitution variables here.In the Documentation I found:[#RoutingPrinter] Only when using the action Print to Logical Printer  How can that be used?  I am grateful for all possible solutions.

hi community.We are a ifs customer, and we are doing a lot of customization development ourselves.Based on increased complexity in the software changes and their dependencies we have started looking into possible automated software testing.We would like to do it the same way as ifs is doing it in the cloud build places (automated for example on delivery creation etc.)Is there anyone here in the community who has already done such a thing and interested in talking about how to handle things like:    - testing during development, automate database creation,     - apply testing using https://docs.ifs.com/techdocs/24r1/060_development/050_development_tools/150_script_a_rest/    - managing test scenarios like in component inttst     - reporting results

Environment: App9 IEE Steps followed:1. Go to ‘Events’ window2. Find Event Action -> "NEXT_AUTH_PUR_REQ_LINE"3. This Events Action will be executed and Send an Email to External Email Address from IFS Application.4. The format of the email should be in Correct format which should be readable.5. Although the actual format of the email is totally unreadable. Outcome: This is the event action "NEXT_AUTH_PUR_REQ_LINE". This should be the correct format of the email. This is the actual email format received by the user which is unreadable. We have already used <br/> tag to line separation. But the issue is the with “&MESSAGE_TEXT” part in the event action. This is the “&MESSAGE_TEXT” part which is scrambled in the email. Please help to resolve this issue. 

Hi, Just want to know if it is possible to add a custom field or custom page that will change values based on the inputs on page (not static fields). For example, this page shows summary values based on the input date range. Could we add a custom field (in yellow area) that will use the input date range and show a value (say no of work task transactions for the input date range and highlighted object id)? TIA  

Hi team,According to the IFS Documentation, we can send extra-large parameters by creating a record inside FndTempLobs as shown below.Large Parameters in Actions - Technical Documentation For IFS Cloud The issue is that LOB storage is described as temporary. About 1 or 2 hours after registration, the data disappears. If the data registered in LOB storage is set to disappear after a certain period, is it possible to extend this duration? I assume there is a cleanup job to remove this data, but I have not been able to find it. Do you have any idea? Thanks! Best regards,Feng

Hello everyone, hopefully someone can help me.A week ago i created a custom projection and added an entity that was based on a view that a teammate created using IFS Developer studio, back then i just went to the projection and added the propper entity searching by the LU name and that was it, i was able to create a new Aurena page.Today i was going to add some new fields that where added to the view and by some reason the field where not showing so i removed the entity and when i tried to add it it does not apper, the view was redeployed and i tried to create a completely new projection but the entity still not showing, i already look for it on “entity details” page but nothing is showing if i search th LU name.I dont know what im missing in order to make it work, i know is possible because it was working before trying to add thenew view fields.This is the LU that i’ve used previously and here is the search for the entity using the LU name but nothing comes up

Has anyone come across this error before at all?  User reports getting this error when RMB/create invoices on the "External Supplier Invoice Load Information" screen.   Permissions look like they’re exactly the same for this user as others running the same process.  No-one else reporting this issue.  I logged on as user.  If I process from "External Supplier Invoices" screen it works fine.  If I process from "External Invoice Supplier Invoice Load Information" it falls over.   File is coming from our external expenses software.  I am advised there aren’t any issues with User setup/permissions from this software - though it shouldn’t make any difference as it’s just import of an external file. User has DocMan permissions and is in the appropriate Doc Group.  Any thoughts/suggestions/ideas would be appreciated. ThanksLinda

We are currently using IFS Apps 9, and I am relatively new to the ERP system. As I familiarize myself with IFS, I am working on creating a quick report to retrieve purchase order line details associated with general ledger vouchers.In the Purchase Transaction History form, there is a field for the part number description E.g. (Dye Penetrant Testing in the below screenshot), but unfortunately, there is no direct column for the part description available in this view. To retrieve the part description, I am aware that I can join the Purchase Order Line table. However, I am curious if there is an alternative method to obtain this data without requiring a join. Thank you for assistance !  

Freight charge disappared when i changed delivery address to Single occurence. Is it designed like that? Or what should i do differently? 

We are currently using IFS Apps 9. As a new ERP analyst in the IFS environment, I am exploring the various views associated with different objects/modules such as Document Management and Customer Orders, etc. Is there a comprehensive list available that could assist me in identifying these views?I understand that views are typically accessible through the System Info tab on each page. However, some views, like APPROVAL_CURRENT_STEP_DOC, may not be immediately visible. This specific view provides a list of all pending or rejected approvals for Document Management. How can I find more information about what each view does? Is there a help document that covers all available views for each object?Any guidance or assistance you can provide on this matter would be greatly appreciated.Thank you.

When I try to print the .rpl (barcode/label) through Zebra printer following error message appear in the IFS PrintAgent Monitor. Any missing configuration for causing the issue. (I'm trying to print a barcode label from shop order for testing)Error: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. Thank you.

Hello Team,@IFS Community , How do we make a field in a assistant using page designer?I can only see the field in RED colour but the validation isnt being added and the user can skip without entering a value? Does anyone have cheat guide on how to create a new theme for EE in APPS9? 

We added a simple data field to a entity , projection and client and triggered the sanity build and it failed with below error. Code was built in Developer studio (24.1) and deployed to Buildplace with no complains.This issue started appearing from 14 May 2024 . We suspect IFS might have applied some updates to the buildplace without notifying customers. Same issue has been experienced in another customer buildplace. If you have come across same please add comment to this.ERROR : Syntax error in ActivityListHandling-Cust.projection referenced by /opt/ifs/build-home/model/proj/ActivityListHandling-Cust.client'  I’ve reported this back to IFS but it sits in the queue with no support.  Your support would be really apricated.     

Hi everyone, Once in a while we get this error (Could not load file or assembly, example in image below), where users are not able to enter a menu which they have privilege's for.The solution we have had so far, is to delete the 2.0 folder from the users APPDATA/APPS windows folder, and on reentry to IFS, they are able to access the same menu. The question I would like to ask, is if this is the best possible solution, or if there is another way to understand why this happens and solve it, without the need to delete the 2.0 folder? Thanks in advance!  

Hello, We are in the process of moving our EDM files from within the IFS repository to a FTP site.If the file is within IFS then the column  ‘FILE_DATA’ in edm_file_storage has the actual attachment,  how do I get the attachment if it is now in a FTP environment. Thanks

Hello Team,I would like to perform an event that will modify automatically a date while I trigger a boolean attribute. For this I have creatd 2 custom attributes on the InventoryPart Entity : one enumeration (boolean) and one date.They are appearing in the “inventory part” screen :I would like a function date while automatically fetch and/or update the date, while you trigger the boolean. I tried to do it by custom event and custom action. But I cannot find the appropriate PL/SQL function for that.Could you please help me ?
