javascript error with substring in workflow/BPM

Helloi am trying to extract a part of a string in a JavaScript step in a BPM, but when i do not have any issue with IndexOf method i get the error “Unable to evaluate script while executing activity 'Activity_1uhrh20' in the process definition with id 'e8f99a83-733f-11ee-b992-76d175c7f0d6':TypeError: Selection.substring is not a function in at line number 4” like if substring was not a javascript method (actuall y i test with substr and get the same bad result)hereunder is my codevar Selection = execution.getVariable("Selection");var pos_start = Selection.indexOf("RAM_NO=")+7;var pos_end = Selection.indexOf("^");var CCN_RmaNo = Selection.substring(pos_start, pos_end);execution.setVariable("CCN_RmaNo ", CCN_RmaNo );everything works ok except the linevar CCN_RmaNo = Selection.substring(pos_start, pos_end);Anyone any idea?

Extending Additional Views - how to use .views file

I want to alter a Purchase Part selection screen, as used when selecting items for a purchase order. Currently only the ID of the Purchase Group is shown and I want to also display the name (and allow the user to filter on it when selecting a part).I can add an attribute as follows which looks up the description.On its own, this works and I can see in the database that the PURCHASE_PART view now has an additional field that shows the name of the purchase group.From what I could tell, in order to include the new field on the screen I needed to alter the following: However I now get an error when trying to go onto that screen and it is because that screen appears to be looking at the PURCHASE_PART_LOV3 view. My new attribute is not included in that view.It looks like the PurchasePart.views file contains the various additional views. Currently my PurchasePart-Cust.views file is blank. Is there any way I can get it to just add a single field to additional views? I don’t really want to copy

SCIM update in 23R1?

Hi all, I’ve noticed that when provisioning a user through SCIM an employee object is created. This is great, but can someone guide me to the latest documentation that states what is created and what new attributes I can set?The documentation for 23R1 does not include anything related to Employees.Is there anything else that has been introduced with 23R1 in the SCIM domain?Best regards,/Magnus

Automatic Case creation via Email

Hello, We are using Apps 8, and would like to know if anyone has implemented a solution whereby an email can be sent to a central email address and for IFS to then pick this up and automatically create a call center case. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Regards Shaun

Make the Record Picker Hideable or Remember My Choice to Hide It

IFS is very column dependant. The record picker is pretty, but the drop down record selector works fine in most cases and does not consume page width. It would be more useful to see 2 more columns on a page rather than the record picker each time the page loads for our business. Here is a single record with the record picker all prominent with it’s single record. Record picker was previously hidden, but displays with a single record It would be nice if it remembered that we want it hidden because we would rather see a couple additional columns. We’ll end up hiding the picker each time to avoid having to scroll to get a couple more columnsThis thing works just fine if the picker stays hidden. It would be nice if the picker wasn’t so proud of itself and could stay hidden.

SOAP - PL/SQL Methods Webservices - Replacement in Cloud?

Up to App10, ‘PL/SQL Methods Webservices’ was an easy way to expose PL/SQL Methods for inbound synchronous messaging in form of SOAP webservices:https://docs.ifs.com/techdocs/foundation1/050_development/024_integration/020_webservices/020_plsql_methods_webservices/default.htmNo BizAPI, minimal modeling, and it worked and there was a proper WSDL available for them. BPA Workflow - User Interaction - larger Header in more lines

I am trying to build a user interaction workflow, but I’m having trouble displaying a longer Header in more than one line.Any ideas how this could be achieved? I have also tried using <BR> tag but it doesn’t do anything. See below some more details. The text I wanna display is: Are you sure the value in Expected Supplier Price per Unit is correct? Prevent Report Rules from sending email from Print Dialog

Hi,We are currently using Event Actions to send email from IFS and want to move to Report Rules for the greater flexibility offered and because it’s the IFS recommended way of sending email.Taking Customer Orders as an example:We want all of our emails to be driven from the Share - Email Order Confirmation screen which is opened when hitting Share - Email Order Confirmation (funnily enough!!):Hitting OK generates the Customer Order Confirmation report PDF and emails the report to 123@email.com as expected.The problem comes when printing the Order Confirmationwhich brings up this screen (I’ll call it the Print Dialog screen):If you hit OK then the Report Rule will run and will email the report to 123@email.com. We don’t want this. Ignore the Email box in the picture above, that is a different issue and doesn’t affect the question. What is needed is a condition on the Report Rule that prevents it from sending an email if the Report Rule has been fired from the Print Dialog screen.Our bes

Hi, We’re having a lot of trouble with our Start Pages/Saved Searches in Apps 10 UPD4 (happened before UPD4 as well). They load fine at first, but if a user tries to refresh them (after a few minutes), they return ?’s instead of the number of hits. This is just one example, but it happens on many queries/profiles/permission sets/start pages/etc: I created a test start page with a simple query (I believe it’s simple, anyway, I’m unfortunately not very knowledgeable with SQL) The first time I opened this test start page, it loaded fine (all 1’s for the result). Now when I refresh after about 10-15 minutes of waiting on this screen, some will error out: This happens on start pages that don’t have duplicates like this, if that matters. Here are some of the errors from the debug console: 3 of those four error messages are the “An item with the same key has already been added”. Permissions and Profiles Changing in 23R1

We’ve been live for a couple of months now using the CRM functionality within IFS Cloud 23R1 only.Over the past 24 hours we have noticed that users are receiving the error below along with a toast message ‘Failed to Load Person Info’ on the Business Opportunities screen, and the error alone on the Lead Address and Customer Address screens. As far as we can see, nothing has changed in our environment to cause this? I’ve seen a few posts about the error messages and I’ve added the Projection ‘GetPartyTypeWidgetInfo’ which resolved the issue on the Business Opportunities screen but not on the Address related screens.After some debugging, I added the Projection ‘Address Presentation’ which has resolved that issue.Has anyone experienced anything similar, or can explain why these projections would suddenly now be required when they weren’t previously? Also, several of our users have found that their Bookmarks and Column Settings have been deleted. Has anyone experienced this, and is ther
