Tax withholdings and Sales Parts

Hi, Is there a way to link a sales part (inventory or non-inventory) to an income type for tax withholding puposes? Scenario: The customer is setup with withholding tax, but only some services/parts are subject to withholding taxes. I would like to default the withholdong taxes using two criteria: 1- the customer setup and 2- sales part setup. However, it seems I can only define the withholding tax at the customer level.  Note: I tried tax classes but tax withholding are not available here.Thanks

Error in IFS Aurena

Hi All,When opening the Invoices to Authorize page in IFS Aurena, the below error is appearing. It does not allow me to view the invoice attachment, even if I try to open the screen in unsafe mode. It means the unsafe mode does not support the functionality in full. I appreciate any one of you helping to resolve this issue. Thank you.Theja

Informing about the necessity to change the password

Is it possible to configure the application so that it informs users that the validity of their application password will expire in the coming days and that they should change the password ? This question is for the IFS app that is launched from the IEE (not for IFS cloud or aurena).

default value for a field in IFS Cloud

Hello,Is it possible to put a default value in a field when creating a new record ?I know in apps10 it was possible with template feature and then put it in base profile to apply to everyone but in IFS cloud I did not find this feature.For example when creating a new supplier, put the default value “Prospect” for supplier category. Many thanks in advance.regardsVincent

23R1 - HA setup - Steps

It could be confusing how the HA setup should be completed. IFS Cloud 22R1 - How to predefine the users home page (the blue house)

Hi,When IFS Cloud starts the user has a starting page which is also where the “blue house” sits. The user can then themselves change the starting page.What I would like to know is if we can centrally control which starting page the user should be on when logged in for the first time.The problem we are trying to solve is the following: The customer wants to build their own lobby page with links to other lobbies and with the ability to put in some information text if needed. The lobby will be adapted so that it works well on a phone.When the phone users log in the first time we want to put them on this lobby page hence it would be useful if there was some sort of user setting for this or some sort of system parameterWe really miss not having the base profiles in the system this would typically be the place where it would be solved if they were on Applications 10The Customer is on IFS Cloud 22R1 and expect to go live in April.

Customizing Navigator with parent entry

Hello, I am trying to customize the Navigator.I have a some new pages in module SRVCON which are located under a core navigator entry. But I want to have it under a new navigator parent entry all together so I tried this:Customizing the core Navigator.client file:So I have defined ma parent in here and then in my own Client-file I want to use that parent,but all I get is this error:Seems like the compiler does not generate or not recognize the new navigator entry that I made.I checked documentation, but could not figure out that I miss something.

Time Registration - Colour Code Time

Hi,Is it possible to colour code the time blocks in time registration depending on the what type of work is being performed?I.e. we might want to highlight training below as yellow, and all over work would be green. As an example.

Multi Site Access

We are currently rolling out IFS across multiple business units and so are starting to introduce multiple sites.  There are a number of users who have access to multiple sites so I am wondering whether there is a mechanism for setting a default site to a users profile so that data for other sites is filtered from view unless other sites are specifically selected during a search.  I would like to avoid having to set up saved searches for each page to filter by site.

Workflow Release Work Order

Hi,  I’m trying to release a WO in a work flow. The work flow will be triggered when the WO is created, and then automatically released the WO if some conditions are met. I can’t seem to work out what’s going on. When I make the call, it says resource not found.Must be something simple? Help appreciated. James

SFTP Knownhost File issue

Hi All,Assuming all users should see Custom objects, I believe we should add them to ‘global’ context instead of defining custom contexts and define rules.How does adding custom objects to ‘global’ context affect Release Updates/Service Updates?In addition , I assume ‘Rebasing’ is also a painstaking manual task.I would like to know IFS recommendations on this.

Event - UPDATE or DELETE?

Hello.I have to make an event on the TECHNICAL_OBJECT_REFERENCE_TAB table, an event which uses the AFTER CREATE, AFTER UPDATE and DELETE AFTER keywords.My event uses the filter “NEW:LU_NAME=PartCatalog”, the action is execute online sql type, and I would need to know how I can identify if the user fires an INSERT / UPDATE / DELETE.About INSERT, I guess the test “&OLD:TECHNICAL_CLASS IS NULL AND &NEW:TECHNICAL_CLASS IS NOT NULL” can do the stuff, but I don’t know how to know if the user fires an UPDATE or a DELETE, as both &OLD:TECHNICAL_CLASS and &NEW:TECHNICAL_CLASS have a value.Thanks

APP8 to Cloud upgrade error (invalid identifier)

When attempting to upgrade the app8 database to a cloud database, there are errors due to obsolete packages and functions.  According to the deployment scripts, the RECEIPT_INVENTORY_LOCATION_API package was successfully removed from the database a few hours ago, yet this error persists.Additionally, these packages and functions had been removed from the deployed database.Question: Why are these invalid compilation errors appearing for non-existent packages/functions?

User Interaction Workflow & User Cancellation/Exit

Hello, When working with BPA Worfklows, User Interaction Type, there is a way to hide the cancel button:   The result is as follows:   You can see that while the Cancel button is hidden, the Exit Cross at the top left is not. I’m getting some weird behavior where, if you do NOT hide the Cancel button, then clicking the Cross effectively acts as a cancellation button, and cancels the workflow execution If you DO hide the button however, clicking the exit cross causes the following error:  Is there a way to either hide the cross entirely, or make the cross behave in a fashion that does not result in an error? (For example, calling a separate task or api etc if the user hits the cross). Basically, is there a way to control for the user hitting the cross in any way if you’ve hidden the Cancel button from the form ?

Font Size > 24 in Report Designer

Lobbies refreshing data when user is logged out

Hi All We are investigating performance issues in our production environment and are noticing that lobbies are refreshing for users even when they are not logged in. We can see the queries in the AWR reports as well as the database sessions. Has anyone else encountered this behavior. We are on Apps10 upd18.

Does anyone know why IFS fields in IFS Cloud are set to a lower Maxlength vs the DB length value?e.g. Identity Field set to Maxlength=20Identity DB Datatype = STRING(30)
