Hello Community,!We are currently operating on IFS Applications 8 and rely on Harvest for support and maintenance. As per the recent communication from IFS, we understand that:IFS Applications 8 has been in Restricted Support since March 24, 2017 It is scheduled for retirement on March 27, 2026, after which support services will be discontinued The Citrix Build Place for IFS 8 will also be retired on the same date, and access will be terminatedGiven this, we are seeking guidance and community input on the following:If Harvest is shut down, what are the available options to continue supporting IFS Applications 8 until its retirement? Are there any alternative tools or strategies that can help us maintain our environment and manage support issues independently? Is there any possibility to retain access to Harvest for our organization beyond the general shutdown? I’m seeing few accounts which are taking over the place with non-IFS postings. Did the community open to people outside the established accounts base?

What’s Changing?Our third-party map provider has deprecated certain legacy features and is now focusing on a new platform to deliver enhanced map capabilities. As a result, the current map functionality in some versions of IFS Cloud will stop working after 30th June.The deprecated API for “Here Maps” has been identified as an issue for Dispatch Console customers.  This issue affects the framework rather than the application itself. Without the necessary changes, the Map capability will not be available on Dispatch Console. How Do I Know I am Impacted?Customers whose Framework Service Update are on these releases and later are not impacted:·         23R2 SU 18 (15th May 2025)·         24R1 SU 12 (15th May 2025)·         24R2 SU 6 (15th May 2025)·         25R1 GAAny customers running a version out of continuous support: 23R1 and earlier, will also be impacted.  These customers cannot use the same process and will need to take the latest release update.Framework Service Update LevelCustom

In 2024, our community experienced significant growth, welcoming 4,619 new members and bringing our total to an impressive 24,000! Of these, 47% are customers, 23% partners, and 23% IFSers. Encourage your colleagues to join and participate in discussions, as it generates knowledge and improves ranking among other members.Our average response time when it comes to providing an answer improved by 50% thanks to our wonderful IFS Community contributors. We raised 5,928 ideas, with 299 delivered ideas, including 135 delivered in 2024. Additionally, 436 ideas are under consideration, and 1,043 have been accepted. Moreover, 1,070 ideas were reviewed and closed as they were not aligned with our roadmap strategy, required a support case/discussion, or were duplicates.Each of these metrics represents real people who have actively contributed by asking questions, reading, responding, and collaborating. Although the number of new topics slowed down, we saw a significant increase in traffic, with over 1.1 million views compared to Q3 2023. That user experience is important, I think everyone will agree on. But to achieve great user experience we need knowledge about our users. And the best way to obtain this knowledge is through meeting our users, doing interviews and observe them using our product. To make it easier for us to meet our users, we (the User experience product group at IFS R&D) have created a group for end users. It has end users, that have said okay to participate in studies connected to user experience.
