HelloI have an EAM project. I need to know if the dispatch console can work with Services.I can see the work tasks in the console, but I can't see the resources. What configuration should I have to achieve this?I can configure the configuration in FSM, but I can't access the resources in EAM.
Dear Community. I am working in 25R1 and previous versions, and have found when a Work Task Template has Material demand and the associated Maintenance Purchase Requisition is created from the Calendar Generation, it appears in the Currency of the Company, not the Currency as defined in the Supplier for Purchase Part record. The system does adjust the price on the PR to reflect the currency change, but still the PR appears in the incorrect currency, also, the default Tax Code on the Supplier for Purchase Part is not used. This requires us to continually review generated PR’s and PO’s to ensure they are in the correct currency with the correct Tax Codes, which seems silly since the default values are set on the Supplier for Purchase Part. Am I missing something here?David.
I have linked a document file within the Work List of a Work Task Template and created a work task from it. I am encountering an issue where media files are not being transferred to the MWO work task and the document file is not transferring to IFS MWO Could you kindly confirm if there are any specific conditions or parameters that need to be set up to ensure that media files are successfully transferred to the MWO work task?
I have seen the feature in the site level for maintenance in Move Functional Object to ignore object level validation. I admit it does scare me a little but would like to learn more from people that might be using this feature. Like a pros and cons on when to use it vs. not use it. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
The intention is to change the Task Card Description, Subtask Description, and Maintenance Code Description lengths from the standard 60 characters to 200 characters across all pages where these fields are used. For instance, on the Subtasks page, the MaxLength value for the Subtask Description column in the Subtasks List element was modified from 60 to 200 in the Page Designer. However, during testing, the Subtask Description field still remains limited to 60 characters. Kindly advise why this change is not being applied as expected.
When creating a bookmark for the Maintenance > Equipment > Tools and Equipment page in IFS Cloud 24R1 environment, it opens the Service > Equipment > Tools and Equipment page instead. Steps to reproduce:Navigate to Tools and Equipment via Maintenance > Equipment > Tools and Equipment. Add a bookmark on the Tools and Equipment page. Navigate to another page or log out and log back in. Select the saved bookmark. Can this be identified as a defect? If not, can the service entry be removed from the Navigation designer?
Hi Team,I am currently working on GIS integration in IFS Cloud, but I haven’t found any configuration options for automating Asset Data updates on a daily basis based on layers or features. If there is any specific documentation available on this, it would be very helpful. ThanksLokesh
We have a scenario where PO lines have mandatory pre posting has been enabled. Customer uses ad-hoc purchasing to report expenses that have been externally purchased after purchasing so that authorization process of normal Purchase Requisition can be skipped. After enabling mandatory Pre posting on PO lines we are unable to complete the Ad Hoc purchasing and the process is not inheriting the Pre posting from Work Task as well. Is there any other setup that will help on this?
Hi everyone,We’re relatively new to IFS at our company and are currently working on improving how we track and report equipment downtime.Recently, we’ve taken some objects out of operation and then brought them back online. However, we’re missing a clear report or overview that shows the actual downtime duration for each equipment. From what we’ve seen so far, there doesn’t appear to be a standard solution in IFS for this.Has anyone implemented a reliable method for tracking equipment downtime in IFS?Any advice, best practices, or pointers to existing functionality would be greatly appreciated!
This is regarding a customer who is manufacturing and purchasing Refrigerators mainly. When purchasing refrigerators they buy products from China. Also, they are getting Spare parts also from the same supplier.Ex: Part X is use in refrigerator models A, B Spare part Finished product model X A,B Y A,C Z C So, their requirement is when they Search by Spare part – it should show the refrigerator model connected inventory part and vice versa – when search for refrigerator model connected inventory part, it should show the spare parts. This is irrespective of the refrigerator is manufactured or purchased. They don’t have maintenance module in use, meaning no equipment objects defined in the application. Is there any other way of handling this without using maintenance module spare part handling?
Has anybody configured something in IFS to perform asset pre-start checks?Machine operators should answer a list of questions before starting the machine. We can trigger the questions using eforms and workflow configuration. However, we also need to trigger work orders for the machine for failed checks.
For database tasks parameters comes automatically based on definition. But I want to use custom parameter for that same method call. For example, I want to call ACTIVE_SEPARATE_API.MOVE_TO_HISTORY method but instead of WO_NO_ as a parameter, I want to run this method for all the work order having work type “Preventive Maintenance”. So I want to add WORK_TYPE_ID_ as a parameter. How to do it?
I have connected technical characteristics to work task (jttask). The Technical Class that is connected to the functional object is not showing up. Is there a way to make sure the I can see the Tech attributes on the work task?
All,when I want to copy a Work Task, I have to option to select all checkboxes, this option is not available when I want to copy a PM Action or a Work Task Template. Are there any ideas to implement the option ‘Select All’ for other copy functions? Is there a way to managed the default values in the copy option? Most of the time the user want tpo copy all and now none of the options are selected. Thanks in advance,Robert Kool
The baseline functionality of the "Expand Forward" field in the PM Action screen calculates the 'Latest Finish' date based on the combination of the "Expand Forward" and "Due Date" fields. In my case, I need to exclude weekends from the "Latest Finish" date, but when generating the maintenance plan, the weekends are still being included, which is how the baseline functionality works. Is there any way to modify this or exclude weekends from the "Latest Finish" calculation? Adding Basic calendar to the PM action setting expand forward days Latest finish including weekends
Hi all,We are using IFS Cloud mainly for Maintenance, and I’m curious about how others are handling Asset Criticality and Work Task Priority. Do you keep them completely separate, or have you built any kind of automation where they are connected? Are there any best practices on how to align these two values? Or do you mainly use asset criticality as more of a “flag” rather than something that drives task/work order priority? I’d really appreciate hearing how different companies are using this in practice. Any lessons learned or tips would be great!
According to documentation DateTime format is returned depending on http X-Ifs-Time-Zone-Aware-Request parameter value. When we are performing request /main/ifsapplications/projection/v1/MeasurementsForObjectHandling.svc without the parameter we are getting response "RegDate": "2025-08-18T20:03:59Z",when adding X-Ifs-Time-Zone-Aware-Request = "true"response is "RegDate": "2025-08-18T16:03:59Z", as I understand, according to the documentation it should return "RegDate": "2025-08-18T16:03:59+04:00" since database timezone is configured to GMT+4
Dear All,In EAM, when work task is allowed to have multiple visits and the assignment is transferred to mobile. When 1st Work assignment is set to ‘Incomplete’ or ‘completed’ the remaining assignments will be cancelled as shown in below screenshot.Where as in NGSM, when 1st work assignment is set to ‘Completed’ the remaining assignments will be in Accepted status as per below screenshot. When work assignment is set to ‘Incomplete’ the remaining assignments will be removed and will not appear in the Assignment Tab as per following screenshot. Is there a way in EAM solution, some setting of some sort where we can configure that upon 1st Work Assignment completion the remaining assignments will be in ‘Accepted’ status same as NGSM after incompletion so that technician can use same chain for revisit. Work around found that on same work task we need to do the direct assignment so that new chain of visits to appear as per following screenshot - IFS Cloud Version Details:Application servic
There is a user in IFS 9. This user's IFS account automatically locks. This user does not forget their password or enter it incorrectly. I open it in the morning, and when I close the IFS account in the evening, it automatically locks the next day. What could be the reason? This situation occurs with several users.
Hi,We recently found a few instances where irrelevant Work Orders were synced to the offshore. The replication is configured by site, but some work orders from other sites are also being replicated. This issue seems to occur only for LU: WorkOrderJournal.Has anyone faced this before or have any clues on the possible cause?Environment: IFS Apps 10 UPG 19
We have technical attributes assigned to our Serial Objects in IF Cloud. Is there any we to query Serial Objects by a particular Technical Characteristic? i.e. return all objects with “X” characteristic, and/or then sum the total of the value(s). Thanks Nick
Hi when looking to add objects that are missing from the PM Program the list includes serial objects that are scrapped, if they are scrapped they are not eligible to be included but you only know they are scrapped when you have got to the point of adding them in, which is a waste of time. Is there a way to remove from the list altogether or at least identify them so you don’t try and add them in and have users waste precious time?
Testing use of Service Contract and Invoices from Work Tasks based on Cost Based Pricing on our 24R1 SU12 version, and use of Merge By Sales Part does not work according to our expectations. Is someone using a similar setup in newer versions? Invoice Preview with Invoice Scope CustomerMy expected result here would be 1 line with the total quantity and amount for my 8 personell lines I get the same result if I create the Invoice Preview with Group Level Work Order (2 extra lines due to the date used as filter in the first scenario) Invoice Preview with Level Work Order Our Invoice Rule on the Service Line on the Service ContractOur Invoice Rule
Hi all we use the Work Order Report Control → Work Task print flow. For us the Work Tasks print fine, but some users see their attachments prompted to save/open instead of being printed (attachments never auto-print). Expected: single print action prints Work Task pages and attachments (preferably as one merged PDF).note - this is only for some users Request: anyone who've implemented server-side bundling (convert attachments → PDF + merge) or Print Agent configs / command examples to auto-print Office docs please share.
