I purchase a lot controlled item from a supplier whose price at the time is $1.40.  Because this is a commodity type item (aluminum bars) whose prices fluctuate and our customer updates their standard costs monthly with the the CURRENT price of the material from the supplier ($2.00), when I do a return for credit, I get a financial transaction that shows the difference. But how do I notify/charge the supplier for the 60 cents difference so they can “pay” me?  The optimal way I think of this is PERHAPS use cost per lot batch but the customer doesn’t want to use that; opting for a standard cost per part.

We have a client where one Department (and it’s users) are responsible for managing several IFS “modules”, ideally when these users log into the system each day they need to have a screen that displays all of the system elements for the 3 modules they are responsible for. We’ve created 3 different lobbies for them, one for each module, but can only define 1 of them as being the start page.We can bookmark each of the 3 lobbies and then include them in a departmental bookmark group, but we can find no way of setting this bookmark group as being the Start Page.Is there any way of doing this without modifying the system?

Hi,I’m trying to display the Part ID (from Service Object Details) in the Request Scope tab on the Request page. For this, I created a persistent custom attribute in the SrvRequestScope entity.Added the screenshot below.Current Version Using 24R2 However, this custom field is not appearing in the Attributes dropdown of the RequestScopeitemList in Page Designer.  I’ve checked the Projection Metadata and found that the attribute has been added to the "ReqScope" entity instead of the "SrvRequestScope" entity. Could anyone please explain why this is happening and guide me on h

Hello,On our Sales Part, we add a secondary reference which is our client product number (the sales number is our internal reference)When an user add a Sales Part to a customer agreement, he select a sales part then do is configuration and validate it.Once it’s created, the secondary reference custom attribute which is a read only is filled.What I want, for clarity for user, is when they choose a sales part, the custom attribute is refreshed to display the value.You can see example on screenshots of what I except :  For now, the user can see this custom attribute only after validation and page refreshed (triggered by validation).Is there a way to achieve this ?Thank you

Hello dear Experts,Could someone please explain the purpose and function of the "Currency" and "Purch UoM" fields on the Requisition to Request - Parameters Assistance Page?When we select multiple purchase requisition lines and convert them to a Request for Order Quotation, each line may have a different currency and unit of measure (UoM). Therefore, we are likely to receive supplier quotations in different currencies for different order quotation lines, which makes the currency specified at the header level seem irrelevant to me.Additionally, the UoM field set on the Parameters Assistance Page does not appear to be passed to the Request for Order Quotation page, as I do not see any UoM at the header level.Could you clarify why these fields exist and how they are intended to function in this process?Note: We use IFS Cloud 23R2

Hi allWe are looking for a solution within IFS to plan and schedule our crew resources in the vessels. I know the dispatch console in IFS has this planning capability. However, we are looking for something more related to marine certificate availability / validity. Has anyone developed something similar in IFS? I would appreciate very much your suggestions. In my previous organization we used a tool called On-board Tracker [OBT] but the requirement is to find something within IFS.Thanks,Asela

What is best practice if possible to move the association of a Purchase Order from one Work Order to another?  Scenario: Maintenance Purchase Requisition created from Work Order # 23. Maintenance Purchase Requisition converted to a Purchase Order. Purchase Order Released to Vendor. Realization is made that the Maintenance Purchase Requisition/Purchase Order was created from the wrong Work Order and needs to be moved to Work Order # 32. What would be the best way to go about that?

When I export it in two language versions – EN and CZ – the generated model is only created in English, and it's not possible to switch to Czech. Do you have any recommendations or experience on how to generate the HTML model in a language version other than English?  

Hello. We added two new required fields for Business Opportunities, and made the changes both when going to Business Opportunities page and on the New Business Opportunity Page. However, the wizard for New Business Opportunities is skipping right by the required fields. As you can see, Main Representative is required as is Estimated Opportunity.  But the “Next” button becomes enabled even if you skip those fields.   And then you can just go on your way. How do I ensure that the button doesn’t become enabled until all the required fields are filled out?  

Does an over tolerance exist for shipping customer orders where, for example, the order is for 10k but production made 10,100?  We want to ship the full 10,100 as the customer will take it, but are looking for an automated way to define the over shipment tolerance.Thank you for your input!Robin

Hi All,I noticed that a finance project had not been created after a project is approved. It seems that this is a one-time issue and finance project had been created for the other projects which created by this same user.Any expert in project has an idea about the reason why finance project is not created for this project only? And is there any way to create a finance project for this project? Regards,MalinG.

How can I configure IFS to set the Date/Number format based on customer?For example, printing Delivery Note to a specific customer - the Date/Number format is retrieved from my user in the browser. Language ‘en’ and Date/Numbering Formatting = ‘sv-SE’.But for some customers I want this to be ‘en-GB’ or ‘en-US’ - UK and US use different date formats and since this is an external document the date formats should be based on the receiver and not me as the document creator.Do I need to create a complicated report rule, for each external document, that retrieves the country from the customer and then the default locale from the country code? Seems a bit complicated?Is there an easier way to accomplish this?Currently on IFS cloud 23.1.6

Hi,We have a requirement in IFS Report Designer to only include records with a particular field value in a table. I have used a Visible Condition on the table row, which works as intended, but the total on the footer is summing all records still. I’ve tried to apply a Visible Condition to the footer also, but it doesn’t work.Has anyone come across a requirement like this before, and found a way of achieving this in Report Designer? (without customising the report definition)Regards

Hi, We’re on Cloud 23R2. I have set up data on Failure Setup Navigator. The expectation is that when a dispatcher records a service request using “New Service Request” page, after filling data for symptom, and clicking Next, it comes to this page.The Task Template is not auto picked based on the information entered before. Instead, any task template can be picked manually from the list. Additionally, even in the Tech Portal (screenshot below), when completing an assignment, even if the technician fills in all information like the Item Class, Failing Function, Fault, Cause, etc there is no automatic application of the Work Task Template. What is the purpose of attaching a WT template in the Failure Analysis navigator? How is it intended to be automatically linked with the process?TIA

Hi team,Is it possible to adjust the expiration interval of sessions in IFS Cloud（23R2）?We've observed that there is a system parameter associated with session timeout, but unfortunately, we're unable to modify it. Please refer to the attached image. Is the value of this parameter the session interval? If we can't change it from Aurena screen, can we change its value at the time of installation? Hi,I’ve gone through all the documentation supplied with the latest PSO version and there is only a few lines on Travels With and nothing that explains how it should be used. Does anyone have anything detailed on using this function? Does anyone currently use this within PSO please? 

There is a neat feature in the Shop Floor Workbench (SFWB) that allows the operator to manage downtime transactions and manually add downtime results and clockings.  These are created by either the start and stop downtime from the SFWB and optionally, from the same functions on the Time Clock.In an environment that does NOT use shop orders but produces on production schedules, my customer would like to manually add downtime results but they find it less than desirable to have an operator go to the SFWB.  The ultimate goal is this is to develop performance reports that uses a lot of this information and others and possibly position themselves for OEE.I am open to suggestions as to how to do this as efficiently as possible. Is there a way to just add the “Manage Downtime” functions to the navigator???This customer does not report time by employee so I thought having the production line workcenters as employees and perhaps wage codes as the part numbers they are pr

Is there a way in Equipment Object Navigator to see if a child node is out of operation (Red) without having to click through and expand each parent node (especially in a large tree). In the image below there are objects one level down that are out of operation but there is no immediate visual indication of that.Or is there a way to turn the parent icon Red if at least one child node is Red?Equipment Object Navigator 

In the Search function in some pages, there is a toggle for Show only current results.When this is on or off, what effect does this have in the results returned from the search?
