When I try to open a sample solution of movie manager in IFS development studio it's asking IFSSYS password. May I know what is the default password for the IFSSYS account?

What permissions are granted to edit the My Start Pages? The Lock/Unlock only works for some users.  Thank you,

Hello IFS community, A view was created using IFS Developer Studio 21.82. We are currently using IFS 9. After creating a view, I am getting a warning message “NO dependency found” (See screenshot 1). However, the view can be found in the PLSQL developer, and I can query using the view created. (See screenshot 2). However, when I try to create a “Reference” custom field ( See screenshot 3 ) and I try to select the view created, I am not able to see it or find it (See screenshot 4). So I wonder if the dependency warning message is the reason for not seeing the view. How could I see my custom view when searching in the view list (See screenshot 4) ? (See screenshot 1)The following screenshot shows that I am able to find the view using my  PLS

We have created shortcuts to clicklearn  from IFS10 but they do not work, just waiting and waiting. Same link copied to the browser works fine. Is there a way how to add external links to shortcuts?

I have uploaded the complogo image to the database, using Report Images in Aurena.And this works fine, as long as the company is using a default logo.I have also uploaded several other images, that i want to use for companies not using the default logo.I have tried to use the “Document Logotype” on the company, but this doesn’t seem to be working.How do i tell the application to use a different logo than the default logo for the company? /Jørn 

I am looking at implementing a functionality where the Purchase Order is converted to a csv format and emailed out to a supplier. Good evening!One of my users has just finished designing and testing our suite of surveys in sandbox (Yay!).  They’ve told me the workflow is running well and without error (Also yay!).  Great, so that means the surveys are now ready to move to our Pre-Prod environment for testing.I spoke with our tech consultant about how we could do that, and the answer was “Well, the user can just type them into Pre-Prod.”  (Very not yay!)Is this correct?  Are we missing some obvious import/export functionality?  I’ve been told the migration for this is non-trivial, as the conditional questions won’t retain their IDs.  We’d probably need to either create a compound key and write a bit of custom SQL package to let the migration correctly link the questions, or we’d need to work some field-matching magic on the migration that I haven’t worked out yet.Thanks for your help, everyone.  I’m hoping there’s something we’re missing here, and that the solution should be trivial

HiI am trying to make some amendments to our existing Teams in Service and Maintenance but I am getting the below error. I can create a new Team but cannot update any existing ones.Just wanted to see if anyone may know why this is before I raise a support case with IFS, this is the same in our test environments too.ThanksHayley 

Hi,Customer has an old customization that needs to be uplifted to APP10, and it has used the  support of the Info Services framework  ‘Route reports based on content’.  (f1doc/Foundation1/050_development/025_operational_reporting/170_report_routing/)The  procedure Route_Print_Job() has been modified to save the pdf file to a folder location when a report is printed to a logical printer. (By using a FILE_SENDER in the OTHER section)Using the same routing information in APP10 doesn’t seem to work. Just wondering if something was changed in APP10. Thank you

Hi,The client has 60 + companies and they use different company logos.Now they have a new look, the logos too changed.The client is in APP10 UPD10.I saw That App10 Aurena has functionality for Report Logos, but I felt this couldn't use for many companies. one logo for all company sort of functionality. Could you please let know if this is possible or should we use the same company logotype functionality? Thanks in advance and Best Regards,Udeni

Hello, I am looking to obtain some information on the way IFS deploys in a Windows environment.IFS version = Apps 9 We are attempting to introduce Windows Defender Application Control (WDAC) into our organisation to meet certain security requirements. IFS deploys as a ClickOnce application and only downloads the required runtimes when required as well as downloading updated runtimes when needed. With WDAC these runtimes seem to keep blocking, even after allowing the location/application.We need the ability to whitelist IFS as a Trusted Application. Has anyone had any experience with WDAC or AppLocker for IFS?

I want to create a custom LU that I can link to multiple kinds of objects (customers, suppliers, orders, invoices… whatever). It has a column CF$_PARENT_OBJKEY that I’m using to hold the OBJKEY for the linked object.When I create a custom tab in IEE, OBJKEY isn’t in the dropdown for the Parent Key, but it doesn’t complain when I enter it in manually. (I confirmed a nonsensical field name isn’t allowed, proving that OBJKEY is passing some kind of validation.)(Ironically, OBJKEY is one of the allowed fields on the Child Key.) However, even with this column set up as the link, the custom tab doesn’t seem to be filtering. 

What is the underlying IFS database table for help description in context pane below?  

I created a new view to be used by a Custom Field within IFS.  I get the following error when I try to select the view for the Custom Field.   Anyone know how to resolve this problem?  Below is the view attached to the LU.

Hello,Can you suggest if client having heavy transactions should go with Database on Bare metal or VM on IFS10 or IFS Cloud.As per me Bare Metal is better as we will get direct access to the underlying hardware. It gives a dedicated physical server for Highest performance & strong isolation. Any suggestion from IFS. Best RegardsPankaj

I have used IFS Developer Studio to create a new Component and Utility Model comprised of the following:.utility - two lines utilityname and component .plsql - layer plus procedures to update my tables .storage - layer plus table definitions .views files - layer plus view definitions files auto generated for the database  I deployed everything and a new Logical Unit was created.  The issue is that I’m seeing values for the dictionary_sys_lu.lu_prompt, dictionary_sys_lu.base_table, and dictionary_sys_lu.base_view that I’d like to change, but I don’t know where these are in my model.  I didn’t specifically enter them anywhere before I deployed.  Does anyone know where these three values are typically set in a Utility Model?
