We have recently upgraded from 24R1 to 25R1 and noticed an unexpected behaviour related to pre-postings.Our WO have 2 code parts While we get the 3 other code parts from the object. Quite often users change the code parts for some of the tasks in the WO (other purpose and financial project)We have now noticed that when others later add a priority or updates the task with additional long description on the task the pre-postings are changed back to the values from the WO... This is causing a lot of frustration or us for the moment.Does anyone know if there is a system parameter we can change to avoid this behavior?
I'm working with two Service Objects in IFS, and both have an Operational Status of Scrapped. For one of the scrapped objects, IFS correctly prevents me from creating a new Service Request. However, for the other object—also marked Scrapped—I am still able to create a new request.I would expect the behaviour to be consistent, so I'm trying to understand why one Scrapped object is blocked while the other still allows request creation. Is there another setting or dependency that controls this behaviour? For service object 012125F15-PL107162560, I’m able to create a new request.I do note that the operation status doesn’t seem to appear on the Service Object, despite existing on the Part Serial: I’m able to create a new request for the above scrapped object. I’m not able to create a request for service object WP3235-45-STKWP-358-34 It is not possible to connect the work task to a scrapped object The other difference with these service objects are012125F15-PL107162560 - came in through migr
When Work Orders are created for PM Actions, either via the ‘Generate Work Order’ option on the PM Action page or through Calendar Generation, the resulting Work Order does not retrieve or display the Customer and Service Contract information from the originating PM Action. Currently, this information is only transferred to the Work Task level. As explained by R&D, this behavior is by design, since the PM Grouping function allows the creation of a single Work Order that may include multiple Customers and Service Contracts. However, we would like to request an enhancement from R&D to improve this logic so that when no grouping across multiple Customers and/or Service Contracts is involved during Work Order creation (from PM Actions), the system should fetch the Customer and Service Contract information directly from the related PM Action.
Hi all,We uploaded a long list of measurements for the object (~80000 rows). When we try to see them in IFS Cloud in the form Measurements for Objects we got error - question subject. Attachment meas_obj_1.But we try to have a look at uploaded measurements in the menu Measurements for Object - we managed to do that. Attachment meas_obj_2Letter ‘S’ - the difference between menu names - can’t be the reason I hope. Does anybody have any idea about the reason and the solution for the issue?
Hello,I’m trying to setup a fixed “Document Text” with a phrase, that needs to be printed on Return Material return slips.I’ve added the text to the Sales Part screen under “Return Material Line”, but it doesn’t carry over automatic? Do you know of any possibilities where we can with standard functionality have that printed each time. Thank you,Michael
25R1. WorkTask attachment pane. User-Administrator can see and use “eye” icon in attachment pane. But regular user with administrative permissions can’t see “eye” icon. So user can’t view attached pdf file.I made some experiments and figured out the only way to allow regular user to see “eye” icon is to grant system privilege DOCMAN_ADMINISTRATOR + other permission sets restrictions. It’s not a good idea to provide admin permissions to regular users but I can’t find an alternative.Does anybody know way/ways how to allow “eye” icon appear in attachment pane?Regards,Roman.
In Cloud, inventory part demand on a PM’s can be set to a different site that the PM / Work Order site, but the demand will not been published on the selected site when the PM , even if the horizon is set on the part demand site. Is that correct? a bug or “as designed”? (..or maybe I have missed somthing in the setup?? :) )
Hi All, Currently using IFS Cloud (24R1) work orders and tasks (service request tasks) have been in operation for a few months and all jobs linked to functional objects. The tasks have gone through to invoiced and set to finished but on the functional object cost/revenue section we aren’t seeing any cost/revenue. I believe something else needs to be set up but can’t locate the info through any of the other queries. The code part info section is blank could it be something to do with that? if so, how do I add a code part to the functional objects
Hi all,Faced with error creating a work task from template: jtTask.insert: field [APPOINTMENT_REQUIRED] in Work Task may not be specified for new objects. Are there ideas how to fix it?I tested the same action on the Demo environment - no errors.IFS 25R1.
Service delivery unit is not fetched from the object when a handover from case to request iscreated.Current status:When a request is created via Handover from case to request, the ServiceDelivery Unit gets the wrong value. The service delivery unit seems to fetch the default value instead of the current value from the object.Problem: The wrong service delivery unit is shown on the request.expected Correct Functionality: When a request is created via Handover from case to request, theservice delivery unit should be retrieved based on the value of the current object, samefunctionality as when you manually create a Request.
We have recently had a problem printing count reports. We print the reports using the part number, and we have encountered an issue where some parts are printing and others are not. They do not even show up in the print manager it is as if we didn’t try to print at all. Please Help!
Hello Community, I hope you're all doing well!I have noticed that when navigating certain pages in our Tech Portal, the record selector automatically appears. This can be quite challenging, especially on smaller screens like iPads or mobile devices, as users have to manually hide it each time, which can be cumbersome. Is there a way to set the record selector to be hidden by default across all screens in the Tech Portal? This adjustment would significantly improve the user experience on smaller devices.Thank you for your assistance with this Thanks and Regards.Aravinda
Hi all. We realized that in the Permission Set screen, Lobby Pages selector there is not a button to Revoke just one of the lines that you created. In the image below, you can see the buttons you have: Add, Add All, Revoke All. This is a problem because if you have, for instance, 20 lobby pages and one day you need to remove just one of them, now, IFS requires you to revoke all. However, if you surf to Projections selector, you can revoke the projections one by one. Does anyone know if this is a bug or the explanation for why this is happening? Thanks in advance. Best regardsSergio.
How much HR access does a person need to assign maintenance surveys to employees in apps 10?
Hello everyone.I'm researching IFS CLOUD EAM implementation cases in the utilities sector, more specifically in the energy sector for power distribution. If anyone could help with references to which clients worldwide are using IFS Cloud in this segment, it would be very helpful. We are studying how to use the linear asset structure to segment distribution networks so that sections can undergo periodic inspection plans without leaving elements (that are not controlled fixed assets) out of these inspections, and how to segment all interconnections into parts.Thank you if anyone can share any references.
I’m not aware of a single customer who ever have used this component. I do thus suggest we reomve it, thus reducing overhead maintaining code not being used.
Hi. I am creating a workflow where based on the user request (which generates a parent event) I initiate an authorization task to the manager using contact users. Upon their answer (authorized/not authorized) as this is stamped on an action I have those details (whether it is authorized or not) on the task and not parent event. Is there a way to populate authorization details (information on authorization, who authorized and when) from task to parent event?
Hi All I need to mass upload some fixed asset into IFS and wondered if anyone has done this before and if there is a standard template for it.
In IFS Cloud, Functional Objects are used to build the physical/site structure, and Serial Objects represent instantiated parts with a serial number (e.g., each machine is a Serial Object belonging to a Functional Object/site).What is the recommended or reference method in IFS Cloud to: Capture and maintain the software version for each machine (each Serial Object)? Track software products installed at a site that do not have a serial number and therefore cannot be represented as Serial Objects? Out of the box, I see several possible mechanisms, but I’m unsure which one is considered best practice for software/version tracking: Technical Classes / Characteristics Test Points / Parameters Documents (DMS) Service Notes Installed Base Object Structure (but software is not serialized → would need to be a Functional Object, which cannot be placed under a Serial Object) What is the usual or recommended approach to model machine firmware/software versions and site-level software in
Hi All,I created a task with “Allow Multiple Visit” = True and, as expected, it has more than one Visit ID. However, when I transfer it to mobile, the work assignment does not apply the configuration I need, which is active for MWO.Is there something missing in my setup, or is it not possible to have an MWO configuration for a Request Work Task when multiple visits are involved? Thanks
I loaded 400 measurements against the object and has below setup in system but in Performance Details page, I do not see any information What could be the reason for the above?
All,For an IFS customer, which has not that many Epuipment structures, but within the structure, there are a lot of objects (>10.000), there is a need to maintain a template structure. In case they need to create a new Equipment Structure, it should be a simple copy of the template with new Object ID's.Next to that, there are changes done in the Templet, which should also reflect to the objects created from that structure.FND Mig could be a good option, but I want to check here in the community if we can manage this fully in IFS itself as well. Thanks,Robert Kool
Hi Community- Receiving the below error while regeneration the plan. any clue how to fix it ? The "Resource Activity" has already been removed by another user
Hello together, at the moment the “attributes”/”technical classes” are so to say available when clicking on an service object and then to scheduling information and from there clicking on the attachment tab and from there clicking on attributes. Please see attached the screenshot. Could we please bring these information up on a higher level, so we have a generalistic view about all possabilities for fields/functionalities? ThanksMarc
