We are a remote install and currently need outages several times per month to deploy new code to our PROD environment.Would HA provide a solution for this that could eliminate the need for deployment outages? What would the benefits of HA in our situation?

We are facing issue while we are stopping the env Received error message from Node Manager Server: [Server kill command for WebLogic server 'MainServer1' failed due to: [Waited for the process to finish for 20,000 millis, without success. This is a known limitation with the java.lang.Process.destroy call when the managed process has child or sub process such as a start script calling java.  I have found similar issue on Oraclehttps://support.oracle.com/epmos/faces/DocumentDisplay?_afrLoop=110997834838099&id=2351301.1&_afrWindowMode=0&_adf.ctrl-state=3p0e8iw9f_53 This is UPD21We can't identify the root cause for this issue. However, we have to remove .DAT files and .lok files in order to start the Application if not we can't start the application. Does anyone know how to resolve this?

Hi All,Customer is upgrading from IFS Application 10 to IFS Cloud 24R1.We are looking for 24R1 Upgrade “Technical Upgrade Task list – IFS Cloud” or the “Upgrade kit deployment guide”. 

We updated our IFS PROD environment to IFS v10, UPD 22 (from UPD 12). A user this morning reported that in Quick Reports - once you've queried/populated a report, and if you RMB on the lines and choose "Export to Excel", that option does not work. All it does is bring up the query window again.  After a report populates (any report), and I RMB on the line items and choose "Export to Excel", it just brings up the query window again. The user reported that this functionality was working prior to the update to UPD22. We are aware of the SQL limitation mentioned in the IFS Community Forum, and checked the Query. For the report we checked (and all other reports) it does start with SELECT. We've found that you can successfully use the RMB > Export to Excel from the Quick Reports top folder (before viewing the report in IFS), but that it will not work from within the report - if you view the report in IFS first, then RMB on the line items > Export to Excel. It will just reopen the query

Since the Production Database hosted in Oracle Standard Edition, planning to upgrade to IFS Cloud with Oracle Standard Edition. 1). Could you please confirm whether the Oracle Standard Edition Compatible with IFS Cloud 24R1.2). Can we use Database Template file in the Cloud Build Home to install and configure the Oracle Standard Edition Database Instance.

Due to internal network restructuring, the Windows host of our on-premise IFS Apps 10 is going to be having a change of IP address.With the obvious DNS updates catered for already, will changing the IP address of the host affect the running of any of our IFS software? Is there a known recommended safe documented way to do this ensuring that the IFS software doesn’t break?Thanks - Jon

I have 2 users getting this error when they use F3. We have cleared the App_data and also cleared cache. It doesn’t go away but happens only once in a while. Hello,We are about to begin an upgrade project from IFS9 to IFS Cloud. Originally, the project was scheduled to start in January, but it was delayed due to planning on the customer's end. During January, we had already set the upgrade build home to version 23.2.5.With the release of 24R1, we are considering performing a release update on the lifecycle portal and recreating a new build home for the upgrade from IFS9. However, we are concerned about whether this update will impact the upgrade scripts that are currently set in the 23.2.5 build home.Has anyone encountered a similar situation, and could you provide advice on the best steps forward?Thank you,Hardik

I work for a consultancy company, around 13 months ago we installed our own hosted versions of IFS10 and PSO. Both of these solutions are hosted on Azure, they are key in helping us work with our IFS customers. They are used for proof of concepts, demonstrations and learning. These environments are non-productive and used to help us sell IFS products and build solutions for customers.I joined the company 11 months ago after these environments were setup, I’m confused with the process of how to keep these environments up to date with new releases. I’ve spoken with our partner success contact and they are not sure on the process. I’ve created a ticket with Osca under our partner account, this ticket was closed once it got passed to support and I'm unable to see the progress of it.From training I've done on IFS academy I've seen updates become available via an FTP portal? Hi All, We are in the process of migrating from APPS8 to IFS Cloud and I’m having trouble updating a particular user profile so that I can use it to access IFS Cloud. I have chosen one of the simplest users (minimal screens/functions available) which requires minimal modifications.I have allocated the appropriate, I think, Projections to a Permission set for this user but when I try to log on I get a number of popup windows with errors relating to Profile and Person info.See below:- Can anyone point me in the right direction to help resolve my difficulties with logging on to IFS Cloud please? Cheers,Neil.

We are currently in the process of upgrading to 2023R2.  We are having issues with building our Baseline environment.  IFS is working on it.  Does anyone know if we can safely proceed with Release Update Studio Completion before Baseline is created successfully?

Dear All,We are currently working on upgrading two IFS Managed Cloud customers, one running on IFS 9 and the second one on IFS 10, to the IFS Cloud version. As you are aware, the upgrade needs to be performed on an interim environment. Once the upgrade is completed, we have to return the database to IFS Managed Cloud so they can import it into the new production environment (IFS Cloud) in IFS Managed Cloud.What we have experienced is that exporting from the source database (either through RMAN level 0 backup or Oracle Data Pump export) takes nearly a day or more, making it difficult to plan the go-live cutover. Therefore, with this post, I would like to inquire if anyone else has encountered a similar situation and if there are any tips and tricks to reduce the export time from the source database (hosted at IFS Managed Cloud). Good day all,Currently, we are using IFS 9 and we create cases and then generator Work Orders to return products.1- We generate a WO2- We enter the part numbers and receive them in3- We then diagnose the product(s) and issue credit or no credit or ship back.4- We currently used tiered data to specify what the issue was with the product, Electrical, etc and have about 5 different tiers.Is there any functionality like this in IFS Cloud under the RMA area? I only see a section for notes.Thanks,Doug     

Could you please clarify whether installing a UPD in the IFAPP 10 application can cause permission sets to be removed from structures? We need to understand the potential impact of UPD installations on application permission configurations.Your prompt response would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,I need to understand if IFS Apps10 is ISO compliant and if IFS have any documentation that details this.I found the attached documentation regarding ISO certification but this only covers Cloud and I need to know if Apps10 is also ISO/BSI compliant.
