Hello all,We recently upgraded from 22.2.14 to 24.1.2.Our lobby datasources no longer work with a ‘DISTINCT’ in the column definition. They worked fine in 22R2. I tried adding a DISTINCT to a simple standard IFS datasource and it also did not work. All of the Queries seem to work fine in SQLDevelopper.Is DISTINCT no longer supported in datasource column definitions, or does it have to be implemented in a certain way? If so, what is the good implimentation method?Error message: Could not preview element. Make sure datasource is configured correctly and view is existing.Sample attached, but it could be any datasource.

Hi Community,In MWO, service Technician have the ability to modify Tool entry in case they make a mistake or they wants to modify their tool entry.In service technician portal, service technician doesn’t  have the ability to do this.We are currently implementing IFS cloud, and I’m curious to know whether service technician have the ability to modify Tool Entry with “IFS cloud”? Thanks Mesh 

Hi all,Is it possible to set up a message in the notification bar triggered by specific actions for notifying personnel when they get tasks assigned in the HSEQ module? Since the customer finds emails ineffective. This doesn’t have to be limited to HSEQ; it’s fine if it applies to other modules as well in App10. Example:When a user is marked as responsible role and the next to act in the process flow, they must perform their task for the flow to proceed. To ensure this, the system should display a message or notification to the user upon login, such as:“You are the next to act on NCR 7345”.Thank You!Best Regards,Oshani

Now in 22R2 from the Customer Solution repository removed all the core files.What is the best practice to proceed with deploy.ini changes for existing component in customer solution repository?

Dear IFS Community, We would like to get rid of (legacy) customisations done within the Build Place, in order to get back to a full standard IFS Cloud environment, as the IFS Cloud implementation project is re-launched.There is currently nothing live in production.We also wonder how to “decommission” some customisations existing in the Customer Solution Repository, when a new IFS Cloud Release provides new standard functionalities that can replace the customized functionality developed and deployed.Can anyone share the right way to do so ?Thanks for your feedbackKind regardsPS : Not sure the “sub forum” is the adequate one, but didn’t find better in the list ;-)

Hello all, In Release Enhancements 6 (Enchancements Guide 6.13.0) there is a paragraph about Additional Attributes, that they support extra data types as DateTime.So, I created an additional attribute in FSM Smart Client using a datetime field (Custom Metadata→ Column Type: DateTime) and added this attribute to PSO List “Scheduling - Activity details” asValue: Activity.Additional Attribute.datevalue However, this field is still empty, even though I did an initialize of the dataset.We are using PSO Version 6.13.0.68 Is there any additional steps that I have to follow?Please provide your inputs...Kind Regards

Hi All, During the Order Delivery step in Release update Studio (upgrade from 23.2.4 to 24.1.4), delivery fails due to installation errors in FNDBAS (I attach the log).There are a whole bunch of errors including missing columns in tables from FNDBAS (in dictionary_sys_tab for example). Customizations have not touched this area. More strangely, this earlier as well as later creation of TOP environments from Release Update Studio (and thus theoretically based on the same code from the repository) succeeds.Also successful is the Sanity Build run, which was performed just before the failed delivery creation (DEL environment installation).Update 23.2.4 to 24.1.4 is run by the customer team.Unsuccessful attempts to create DEL were made by him 3 times, as well as we did it afterward with similar results. Have you had to deal with a similar situation, or do you have any idea what could be the cause?I would appreciate any suggestion.Thank you and Best Regards,Krzysztof Błaszczak (TSM | IFS)

I would like some clarification for the process of installing the IFS Business Reporter add-in for Excel under Apps 10 (UPD20). Based on the “Add-ins” page, there are two options, the .MSI installer or the “Click-once” installer. Upon further investigation (technical documentation), there is also a “SETUP.EXE” that can be found in the “BUILD_HOME” delivery (under ...\build_home\win32client\IFS Business Reporter\Install). I am unable to get any of these to work properly (all exhibiting different symptoms). The most recent attempt was to run every installer that was linked on the “Add-ons” page (i.e. https://server:port/add-ons.html), and it seems to work, but still throws an error stating the the “upgrade utility not found”. Does anyone have any advice on how they use BR and how they installed the “add-on”?

Hi, We are have a Proof-Of-Concept running with IFS Cloud Remote on IFS version 24R1 on top of three ubuntu 20.04 LTS OS VM's, that is setup as a clustered solution and with NLB in front of them (so each can be disabled and taken out for a period of time) I have looked around after documentation on how to perform VM maintenance, but not found anything… I know that IFS patching and upgrading needs a dedicated maintenance window where the IFS platform is offline for the users, while the installation and reinstallation of the configuration is done. What is the recommendation on how to patching (none-IFS-applications and OS pathing) and reboots of the ubuntu VM's below the IFS platform?We would like to be able to regular VM maintenance without interfering with the pods or user access to the environment on top. Best regardsCarl-Marius

We have discovered that our IFSCloud database server is currently running 1 hour behind the local time, resulting in a 1-hour time difference between the server and the local time.I would like to know if adjusting the server time while the environment is up and running could cause any issues. Has anyone encountered this situation before? If so, what precautions should we take when correcting the server time to avoid any potential impact on the system or database performance?Any insights or best practices would be greatly appreciated!

We are a remote install and currently need outages several times per month to deploy new code to our PROD environment.Would HA provide a solution for this that could eliminate the need for deployment outages? What would the benefits of HA in our situation?

We are facing issue while we are stopping the env Received error message from Node Manager Server: [Server kill command for WebLogic server 'MainServer1' failed due to: [Waited for the process to finish for 20,000 millis, without success. This is a known limitation with the java.lang.Process.destroy call when the managed process has child or sub process such as a start script calling java.  I have found similar issue on Oraclehttps://support.oracle.com/epmos/faces/DocumentDisplay?_afrLoop=110997834838099&id=2351301.1&_afrWindowMode=0&_adf.ctrl-state=3p0e8iw9f_53 This is UPD21We can't identify the root cause for this issue. However, we have to remove .DAT files and .lok files in order to start the Application if not we can't start the application. Does anyone know how to resolve this?

Hi All,Customer is upgrading from IFS Application 10 to IFS Cloud 24R1.We are looking for 24R1 Upgrade “Technical Upgrade Task list – IFS Cloud” or the “Upgrade kit deployment guide”. 

We updated our IFS PROD environment to IFS v10, UPD 22 (from UPD 12). A user this morning reported that in Quick Reports - once you've queried/populated a report, and if you RMB on the lines and choose "Export to Excel", that option does not work. All it does is bring up the query window again.  After a report populates (any report), and I RMB on the line items and choose "Export to Excel", it just brings up the query window again. The user reported that this functionality was working prior to the update to UPD22. We are aware of the SQL limitation mentioned in the IFS Community Forum, and checked the Query. For the report we checked (and all other reports) it does start with SELECT. We've found that you can successfully use the RMB > Export to Excel from the Quick Reports top folder (before viewing the report in IFS), but that it will not work from within the report - if you view the report in IFS first, then RMB on the line items > Export to Excel. It will just reopen the query
