Hello!

Excuse my ignorance, but I’m having trouble distinguishing the different IFS tools and platforms. We have a Scope Tool on IFS World, but what exactly is IFS World? Are there more tools within IFS World? What is the difference between that and IFS Portal? Am I correct that IFS Portal is just a hub for access to FTP, IFS Community, and the IFS Service Center?

Clarification on the different tools offered by IFS would be great. I’ve tried to research this but haven’t gotten a clear answer so if I’m missing some obvious piece of documentation, that would be helpful to know too.

Thank you!

Hi @haleycline2194 ,

IFS has been a widely used abbreviation through many fields, companies and instances. For instance, IFS can also refer to “Integrated Farm Statistics”, “International Food Standard” and “Internal Family Systems” etc.

Therefore to be clearly separated from these other uses, IFS World was adopted as a brand mechanism for IFS as a company. We even had @ifsworld.com as the general email handle for a long time.

Today this has been largely replaced by simply IFS and also www.ifsworld.com nowadays redirects to www.ifs.com.

However, “ifsworld” still lingers on here and there through some services like ScopeTool, but in time, “ifsworld” will likely be phased out completely.

All services available to you as a customer should be available through the IFS Portal, but if your company has a Success Services contract with IFS you can also contact the relevant manager for clarification.

Br,

Mikko

Thank you!! This is a really big help!
