While doing label printing using print agent in IFS 8, the printer is printing in landscape mode.

Due to this the printout is not coming correctly. It should be done in portrait mode.  What is the setting/parameter required on print agent to ensure it comes correctly.

The PDF file is saved in correct way and when printout is taken from report archive the printout comes correctly on the same label printer.

Please advise

Regards

Pankaj

Hi @Paguin,

You might need to deactivate printer settings by overriding the application settings, usually this appears in printer’s preferences.

Regards,

Asanka Francis.

Hi @paguin

In that community post, it mentioned a solution as below for the similar question as here.

"if you are using direct printing to a physical printer, ask to check those printer properties. It should have a setting to change the landscape person mode.
If it is a logical printer, try the same in print agent machine."

Hello @Kelum Niranjana ,

Checked the printer properties. it is portrait with defined label size. when printing from same machine where the print agent is installed, the output is correct. but when printing using print agent the output comes in landscape due to which the printing matter does not come correctly on the label

Please suggest

Hi @paguin,

Please check whether the rotateAndCenter parameter is set to true in ifs-printing.properties

file and try setting it to false. You can refer to following documentation on printing properties in Print Agent:

 https://docs.ifs.com/techdocs/default.htm?openpage=https://docs.ifs.com/techdocs/foundation1/020_installation/400_installation_options/005_operational_reporting/020_install_print_agents/

Hope this helps!
