Hi,

We have a user where context menu items are missing when he log into IFS from his computer. If he log into IFS from another computer it is ok. Does anyone have a solution?

Whenever we have odd little glitches like this, we always try clearing the OnlineAppCache as a first attempted to resolve it..

  1. Log into windows on the machine that’s having the problem
  2. Do not log into IFS (i.e. make sure no IFS windows are open at all)
  3. Hold the Windows key, and press R to open the run dialogue box
  4. Type CMD and press enter to open a command prompt
  5. In the command prompt type (or copy and paste) the below command and press return to execute it
    1. rundll32 dfshim CleanOnlineAppCache
  6. Then just wait for the process to finish

Next time you log into IFS, you’ll see the “Downloading feature pack” dialogue whenever you open a new window, but hopefully the issue will have been resolved.

Kind Regards,

  • Robin

Hi @ANBR,
Thanks for contacting IFS Community, could you please clarify if the user is using the same user account on both the computers with same base / personal profiles ?
Are they custom menu items ? if so did it work before in the user’s machine and when did it disappear (was it after a specific change - which you may need to verify with user).

You could also try clearing the cache of the machine based on the nature of the issue.
The answers to above might help to narrow down the scope of the issue.

Best Regards,
Yasas

Hi,

The solution from @RobinHunter solved our case.

@Yasas_AK: The user had tested in another computer (same user, profile). This was not custom menu items. We also tried to clear page history and delete the 2.0 folder in C:\Users\<<User>>\AppData\Local\Apps.

Thank you both for quick and good feedback!

Best Regards,
Anita
