Hi,

Customer has a requirement and wondering if there is a way to help them with.

Invoices are issued from work order tasks today, both hours and other cost.

But if the work order task is connected to a project in project management, and the project also have costs and hours registered directly at the project activity, is there a way to issue an invoice that includes both hours and cost from project and hours and cost posted at the work order task.

Their “workaround” today is to issue a customer order from the work order task, and an instant invoice for the cost posted on the project.

Is there functionality within IFS that can help to issue only one invoice, instead of two, which includes both project and work tasks ?

Kind regards

Rutuja

Hi,

You should be able to have a customer order line to represent the revenue side of the project cost.  Provided the customer order line is connected to the project, the revenue will flow to the project.  Similar concept to what you do with the instant invoice, you should be able to do same / similar on the customer order.

Best regards,

Thomas

Hi Thomas,

Thanks for your reply, customer is booking some hours on Project and some hours on Work Order, they want to combine that together in one single invoice, can this be done through your suggestion?
