Intersite process for non-inventory sales parts

Forum|alt.badge.img+6

Hello,

is it possible to set up the intersite process for non-inventory sales parts?

I tried creating a custom order but could not define the internal supplier for that part.

Any help is appreciated.

Golo

Hi @golo.naito

generally it shouldn’t work because for non-inventory parts you haven’t an inventory. Furthermore a non-inventory part hasn’t a sourcing option like a sales part, which is important for the intercompany or site  process.

Hi @Link,

Thanks for clarfiying that.

I wanted to use that process for our repair process. Site B sells a product which later requires a repair. This repair is conducted by Site A. So I thought that Site B could order the repair from Site A which then sends it back directly to the customer. Do you have an idea how to implement something like that?

Thanks,

Golo

Hi @golo.naito

why don’t you use sales parts for this process?

A non-inventory part is like a service and without inventory.

Your description is a RMA process for me. Don’t you use it?
