Hi all

We have a request from a customer: they would like the service order report sent to 2 mail addresses? AFAIK the SA can add multiple mail addresses on the order on completion, but is it possible to prepopulate with more than one address? We may pull this from contract, site, or customer

Hi Bjørn,

This is not something that would be available in standard 15.2 (or 15.4 for that matter).

Pre-population of multiple addresses on the work order screen in Mobile would be a customization and require rules when to pull it from where and require appropriate DAL changes described in a BRD.

What I do read in Mobile Edge User’s Guide for 15.4 is that if you did a billing summary and used multiple addresses in that, they would be pre-populated in the service order report but there is nothing about pulling multiple addresses from the back end in the way you are asking.

Is it possible on Mobile, that the SA could have a pull down list of the Customer contacts, rather than having to manually type them in?

Hi Chris,

Your request also looks to be an RFE and not in standard mobile.  Besides, you still need to have the option to manually insert addresses as well as selecting them from a drop down.  This would require a new DAL to bring the information down to the client is the way I am thinking of it.

I wrote a BRD for another customer who needed the ability to select 2 or more addresses from the site on the order for contacts that have an email address in the database.  I have asked R&D to add this feature to standard in a future version.

That is great, Jacques. Any idea what version and possible release?

Bjørn,

I don’t work in R&D, it is a separate group that looks at the benefits of adding features to our standard product.  R&D just released the next version of mobile recently and it could be one or more versions in the future before it gets done.  I have sent them the BRD that was developed, the custom code that was developed is currently being used by one of the customers I work with on mobile v15.4.1.

Cheers,

Hi Bjørn,

I am following up with R&D if they are including on any road maps for standard.
