We need to get the long lead time no part materials ordered that are attached to the WO on a project activity. Our labor resources are also attached to the same activity and WO. If the activity starts a year early because of the PO release, then the labor resources will get spread out over a longer period that isn’t representative of the actual labor resource consumption. On the scheduling side of things, we have a lot of our activities linked to each other so the activity releasing early because of the PO can have an impact on scheduling as well. However, when releasing the PO, activity does get started automatically. Is there a way to stop this happening?
