Hi everyone,

We are trying to ship parts with a customer ownership, but when we “Report Picking”, this error message appears.

“The ownership info on the source location does not match the ownership info on the destination location”

Does anyone know what that means ?

We did the same thing as usual, and normally we don't get this message, and both location are company ownership, so i dont get it.

Thanks for your help !

Hi all !

Thanks for your answers, the problem came from the part remaining on the shipping location.

Parts owned by the compagny was on this location, so IFS didn't want to mix with customer parts.

After using another shipement location, it worked

Hi Tom,

Have you checked to see if the location group of both locations is set to correct location type? Ideally it should be of type shipment location group.

Hi @Tom GEOUFFRAY ,

The part ownership is not a key attribute in the Inventory parts in stock page, so if you want to maintain different ownerships for the same part on the same site and the same location, you must differentiate the other key attributes Configuration ID, Lot Batch No, Serial No, Eng Chg Level, W/D/R No and Activity Seq, Handling unit ID etc.

If you choose the non-tracking part then you can change WDR no to differentiate the stock records for multiple ownership. Or else you can try it with the serial tracking part.

If you go to the part ownership help documentation, you can find the below note placed under Inventory Handling Tropic,

"Also, if you try to duplicate any of the key values mentioned below for the different ownership types and/or owner in the same location and part then an error message will be raised stating that the stocks do not uniquely identify the ownership information and you are not allowed to perform this transaction. The key values are Site, Part No, Configuration ID, Location No, Lot Batch No, Serial No, Eng Chg Level, W/D/R No and Activity Seq."

I hope this information will help you.

Regards,

Kithmini
