Hi all,

Trying to understand what the core logic is when determining Route Order when creating Consolidated Pick Lists for Shipments.

I understand that the Route Order is a hierarchy and the lower the numeric value, the higher its priority is.  The highest branch in the hierarchy is the Warehouse then Bay, Row, Tier Bin.

How does the logic consider alpha numeric Route Orders?

  1. For example, if the Route Order is A1, is this considered higher than B1 or C1?
  2. What if the Route Order is more complex such as A1A, how is priority determined?

The Business Case is to allow the Warehouse Personnel to accurately define in which route they want the Warehouse workers to pick material.

This is in Apps 10 UPD 15 – Aurena Client.

Thanks.

Hi,

I checked in 22R2 Cloud and seems the Route Order considers the Alpha numeric characters.

First you have to define Route Order for each Bay ( which considers first when sorting ),

Secondly define the Route Order for each Row or Tier( which considers next ).

Just like above example, you have to define the Route Order in several different levels.

Try to reserve some pallets in different location in different bays and tiers and print the pick list either for the customer order or Shipment.

The locations are printed in the sorting order they way have to ranked Bays, Rows, Tiers.
