Is there a plan to deprecate “Execute Online SQL” Event Action type within the next 3 Cloud releases? (before 23R2). The query builder is redesigned to use REST APIs now. So wondering if there is something similar planned for Online SQLs as well?

Hi @Dhanikaw,

Yes, there is a plan to deprecate this in a future update. A specific releaese/update version has not been set for this yet though. This is documented in Foundation1 Documentation here:

https://docs.ifs.com/techdocs/21r2/060_tailoring/220_configuration/010_config_best_practice/#execute-online-sql-event-actions-concerns

Even with IEE, there have been many concerns regarding allowing to write and run PL/SQL blocks directly from the client, mostly from a security standpoint. Because of that, it has been decided to gradually remove them from Aurena.

Hope this helps!
