hi IFS experts,

My retention setup on the Sales Contract is like this.

*Requirement from the customer is- Retention is 10% from each item with a maximum of 5% of the final contract sum (USD 50,540.63)

I am on the last AFP where I want to release the final retention. All the other claims have been done.

How do i do this? I tried to enable this and then enter an amount but the system is not letting me do that. Please help me process this.

Thanks,

Ashani

Looking at your screenshots, the Final Retention field is empty, so there is nothing to release.

Final Retention is a portion of the total held back separately. Since it was never set on the Sales Contract, the entire retained amount falls under Interim retention instead — which is why your AFP retention tab shows Int. Retention at the full 50,540.63.

That also explains why Release Final Retention won't go through no matter what you enter: it requires the amount to be more than your total retention (50,540.63) while also not exceeding it, which can't both be true when Final Retention is 0.

You could use Release Interim Retention instead, entering your remaining balance of 25,270.31 there. That releases the rest of what's retained on this contract.
