It’s only allowed to connect DOP headers in “Created” Status with Project Activities. Why is it so ?
A Customer (in APP 10) has a need to connect a Manually created DOP in progress “Unreleased, Released” with a Customer Order Line connected with a Project Activity. Message says the DOP should be connected with the Activity and connection is only allowed for DOP in Created Status.
If the DOP Header is connected to a project activity, the DOP orders in the structure will be tagged with the project ID and activity sequence. When releasing project specific pegged DOP orders, the system will generate project specific shop orders and/or purchase requisitions/orders dependent on the part type. These orders will be received into the project inventory.
Therefore, once the DOP Structure is created the DOP Orders are already created (without Project connection if the DOP has been processed manually)
The created DOP orders (Shop Orders, Purch Orders etc.) will not be connected to the Project unless its been done at the “Created” state of the “DOP Header”.
