I am reaching out since we also have a business scenario that can be fully mapped with Customer Consignment stock functionality, however, the system not allowing Project connection.

Unfortunately, we have not found a solution for this requirement.

We are now in Cloud 23.1.10. Error message is the same.

I’m not sure what are the steps you have followed. But I didn’t get any error when doing so. The version I have tried the below is IFS Cloud 24.1.2

I have 1 qty at the Consignment stock which is allocated to a Project Activity

My Customer Order is connected to the same Activity

From the Manual Reservation I can Reserve the above Consignment qty to this Customer Order

Thank you. My steps were to add part to Customer Consignment Stock, then to Customer Order and add activity sequence to the line. Which fails.

As I understand, what you describe is externally-owned stock that is supplied by a supplier with the intent that the site company will eventually purchase the material using an existing purchase order when it is used or sold.

Inventory Parts in Stock can be linked to the activity, but it’s not possible to change ownership. If I understand the field description for Ownership wrong, please tell me how to change the ownership to Consignment.

IFS R&D has intentionally not allowed to Establish Project connection with Consignment Stock type Customer Order line. 

There are certain conditions written for ‘Connect to Activity’ command, available at Customer Order line level and, Customer Consigment is one of the condition there i.e. ‘Connect to Activity’ command would only be available when ‘Customer Consignment’ toggle available at Customer Order line set to ‘FALSE’.

I have raised a case with IFS to understand the logic and business scenario why they have excluded Project connnection for Customer Consignment type Customer Order lines.
