We are using IFS Cloud 23.1.8

Is there way to remove a terminated employee or customer contact from the list of values in Cloud?

We have tried blocked and hidden options on the user.  When using initials in a field, the use doesn’t appear, but when using the find feature for the LOV he does.  We would like to be able to eliminate past, inactive users/ contacts from the LOV’s.

We were trying to do the same thing, it did not work properly and we’re still looking for a solution. It seems that these people you want to remove were using the system in the past and a lot of transactional data is linked to their person ID. Removing the values from the LOV will make a lot of children records orphans. The only thing I know it’s done recursively up to a point are terminated employee actions, which get reassigned.

@DHCRADPA

Thank you for your reply.  We don’t want to remove them and leave orphan records, we would just like them to be filtered out in LOVs based on a condition like employee status or if there is a contact or person status that could be used to filter them out.  For example, one place is the Responsible Person in the Non Conformance Report.  If you do find a solution, I’d definitely like to know how you made it work!

@jtobin have you looked at Conditional LoV Filtering?

https://docs.ifs.com/techdocs/23r1/040_tailoring/225_configuration/200_client_configurations/310_conditional_fields/100_conditional_lov/

In your case, sounds like you can simplify this and set both Case and Enabled as True (assuming you always want to filter) and then write an OData filter expression for the Value property that excludes the past and inactive users.

Best regards,

Rukmal

Hello, @Rukmal Fernando

Thank you for the information. I will ask them to try this to see if it resolves the issue.
