IFS Managed Cloud print agents

Your question is a bit vague but I will attempt to answer. You should install the Aurena Agent and extension for end-user devices. This will allow locally installed printers on that device to be used when printing from the client.

For jobs initiated by IFS Cloud not the end user you will need the IFS Print Agent. Typically installed on the print server it will collect print jobs and direct them to its local printer.

When both are setup you will see both the IFS Print Agent printers and your locally available printers on your device.

In our environment we only use the IFS Print Agent for printers used with specific needs like despatch. For all general printing needs we let recommend the user use their locally configured printers. This allows things like follow-me printing and using secure pins and other user/device specific printer preferences to be used when they are printing.

I appriciate your reply. Aurena agents are used so users can use local printer while printing reports. How ever on WAN it can be slow. (And incase report has many pages)

So wanted to check with IFS Managed Cloud customers if Print Agent are used to print reports.

More insight will be helpful.
