Hi!

We are currently having issues with our IFS Cloud Instance and the print agent. The service seems to crash every now and then and needs to be manually restarted on our server which results in print jobs being stuck in “remote waiting”.

When they do print, they are delayed up to 1-5 mins, regardless of quantity or the size of the job.

Is there any reason this could be happening?

In order to give any insights more information would be needed.

  • What version of IFS
  • What version if the IFS Print Agent
  • What is in the logs for the IFS Print Agent when it fails (set to verbose - See techncial docs)
  • What is in the logs for the IFS Print Agent when it stalls (set to verbose - See techncial docs)

In general, I have not experienced any difficulty with stability for the IFS Print Agent across multiple releases.

Hi,

we have the same issue.

We are on 24.2.3 version of IFS and  IFS Print Agent version is 24.1.1.

Hi @MarkoK,

I was informed by IFS that a permanent fix for this issue is available in the following versions:

  • 22.2.19 – 22R2 SU19

  • 23.1.12 – 23R1 SU12

  • 23.2.5 – 23R2 SU5

  • 24.1.0 – 24R1 GA

However, since you are already on version 24.2.3, it appears that the issue has not been fully resolved yet.
