Hello,We are in the process of implementing Apps10 and working on the Health and Safety module, specifically Incidents.We would like to use this as our Near Miss and Accident reporting tool, but need to restrict access for users to only allow their entries + adding new. However, due to privacy reasons, cannot display other persons information that may have been injured in an accident (coordinator, reported by, etc.).IFS default a user can see all entries for their respective company. Thanks,Jeff Nattermann

Hello all,   We recently installed BA on a user computer. It appears to work fine in Excel, and will load data. However, when trying to preview the report in IFS itself, in the BA folder, the following error message loads:   “Cannot View File Type .xlsx A Previewer is not installed”.   Obviously, Excel is installed.   Thanks, Rich  

Has anyone tried to use IFS Trip Tracker app with Lite user licence ? I tried Trip Tracker app with LTU_HR_SELF_SERVICE  permission set but no success yet. LTU_HR_SELF_SERVICE permission set has access to the same functionality on IEE client but seems Touch app needs more. Thanks.    

Apps 10. When user swiped they card on Time Clock machine they received the following message: Insufficient access rights. You cannot modify Absence Registration data for employee 62905. Any ideas?

why is it that IFS isn’t offering more drop down lists default, following the many ISO agreements? for example, for people’s competencies regarding language skills, there is a standard:https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Common_European_Framework_of_Reference_for_Languages imho, this should be a standard drop down list, under Person. ...or did I not find an existing solution/list yet?

Hello,I Created a lobby for incoming birthdays for persons. I used PERS view for this with prefix &AO.So, when i testing my code sources on IFSAPP account its working good. But when i testing on normal user like (x) its not working.I approved lobby element, code source and lobby element for a dummy permission set. Then i gave this permission set to (x) user, but it did not work.So, my question is if i want to show PERS view records at normal user, is it has to be special permissions like HR manager or something?Only this view (PERS) has problems like that, the other lobbies as i created, working good for normal users.Best regards.

I would like to re-use the Employee Id.  The wrong Person Id was assigned to the Employee Id.  How can I change the existing Employee Id record  to use the correct Person Id?

We are currently in a process of evaluating whether IFS would be a good option to keep track of training and employee (annual) reviews.It would be nice to find an IFS customer who has experience using this, so our HR department could have a short talk about their feeling with this module in IFS. Filiep

Our HR team sometimes have to go in and approve the employees annual leave but it seems to be running very slow and sometimes crashes. This is happening on several PC’s. Does anyone know why this might be?

I was wondering if there is any (planned) interfacing possible, for synchronizing the data/info of courses/certificates of IFS’ Academy, with Apps 10? I had to manually add and assign/enter these:   Since the courses and certifications in IFS’ Academy, I think it would be a good idea to have some sort of interfacing; i.e. a way of synchronizing with Apps 10: - available courses and certifications in IFS’ Academy (as drop down lists/values) - individually received certifications (dates, scores, etc.) and followed courses (dates, locations, etc.)

How can I apply data masking on some confidential fields such as personal private infos? I need to display some confidential private info with “ABC***” format even the user has Access right. After approving a confirmation message the field will be displayed.

Hi everyone,   Is there a way to setup IFS to update update an Outlook calendar with Absence Requests? For example a supervisor could see all absence requests from his team/supervised employees directly on his Outlook Calendar vs having to go to IFS and view each employee’s Absence calendar for a month. When i go into Text Translations Screen in IFS I don’t see an option to add more entries in there.  How do i add more words to be translated into IFS?

At the moment, am pulling either the user screen and using one in summary mode to copy from and check the permissions set on the new user. I have tried the grant permission set to user grid, and even that can be cumbersome. Is there an easier way to do this I am missing?   Thansk

We’re looking to set up and use TouchApps in our Apps9 environment, and have managed to get several of them working OK using iOS devices. That said, I have a problem with the TimeTracker app where it errors when trying to sync during login.  It just keeps looping with the green sync running followed by this error. I’m not sure if this is related to security - there is no permission set script that can be generated from the TAS server - or if this is something else.   Can anyone provide any guidance or point me to some documentation I might be missing? After creating a Personnel Requisition and saving it the status is Prepared.  On trying to RMB > Confirm we are receiving the message You are not allow to perform this action.     Any ideas?

What are the possible solutions Available to implement Data level Access control in IFS, apart from existing Company, Site and access control functionality in CRM. For E.g. Oracle provides different access permissions for Data and Screen how can that be achieved in IFS. Are there any new functionalities added to security / permission setup around data access control?

Hi All,   I have found  blob format  as file data column in edm_file_storage_tab but I need to get file as respective file format like PDF,docs. Is there any conversion procedure there in IFS?

I have created a Fire Role Call report that uses the view from the Present Employees screen.  The idea is that one of the Security team in the Security Lodge would run the report in the case of a Fire Drill or indeed in the case of the fire alarm going off.   The problem I have is that the report only displays sub-ordinates as per the Supervisor Access Setup. e.g. if a manager/supervisor runs the report they would see their subordinates.   We need the report to display a list of ALL the employees swiped in, bypassing the Supervisor Access Setup.     Can somebody please advise how I can get around this issue.
