To change the value to “zero cost only” in Inventory part window, If we adjust the cost to zero and change the inventory valuation method, will it impact the previously recorded entries with their existing values?
+2Not a straightforward answer as it depends on a number of factors.
It will not recost previous transactions, however depending on the Inventory Valuation Method it may impact Inventory Values if using Weighted Average. It will also impact the Inventory Value if you perform a Past Cost - Cost Set 1 update.
Provide additional information on Inventory Valuation Method and reason for the desired “Zero” cost.
