Hey IFS Community!

I'm looking for test automation with IFS Cloud and could use some insights from those who've been there.

Is it generally possible to implement test automation in IFS Cloud? Are there any best practices or challenges I should be aware of? For those who have set up test automation in IFS Cloud, what tools or frameworks have you found effective? Any recommendations or tips on configuration?
Specifically, I'm also interested in automating the verification of documents like Pro-Forma invoices.

How do you configure tests to ensure that documents are generated correctly?

I'm looking forward to hearing about your experiences, challenges, and any resources you found helpful.

Sincerely.

I have a similar question. There are tools like playwright to do some automatic web browser testing.

and then also the test-a-rest framework.

Curious what the community thinks of this.

Hi guys,

We are using TESTCOMPLETE (https://smartbear.com/product/testcomplete/). It is a very versatile tool, and once set up, you can run the tests in every environment.

Thanks,

Gianni Neves

So yes it is generally possible to implement test automation in IFS Cloud.   Internally within the RnD business application groups we use Test-a-Rest mentioned in a previous response as well as Katalon for UI automation which is a commercial test product based on Selenium.  Some other groups within IFS use Cypress or Playwright as mentioned before.  We use Smartbear in addition to Katalon for the FSM product as well.
