Hi.

Is there a way to disable the default F2 keyboard shortcut functionality (Populate)? We work with huge databases and often use F3 (Query), but one slip of the finger to the left can lock up IFS for many minutes when it tries to fetch the entire database (for example Overview - Transactions History). I know some users went as far as pulling the key from their keyboards 😀, but I’m looking for a more elegant solution.

Hi @STesars
As I Know those shortcut keys (ex: F2- Populate, F3- Search) are standard shortcuts that come from the framework and cannot be set as disabled or turned off through the application.

Bets Regards

It’s not possible to disable it, but if you accidently hit populate (F2), you can abort the transaction by clicking on the X next to the search field.

Hi

@Kelum Pradeep Kumara - This is not the answer I was hoping for, but it is the one I was expecting.

@anmise - We are on IFS 7.5, (Azure IFS8P), so no search bar and no ‘X’ abort button, unfortunately.
