Oracle single instance database with IFS Cloud

Hello Everyone!

When we check the IFS Cloud 23R2 tech docs it says non-multitenant databases are not supported.

There is a customer who is planning to upgrade from IFS apps 9 to IFS Cloud 23R2 and wish to use a single instance database instead of a multitenant.

Would there be any issues (such as core upgrade issues and etc) with the support from IFS if they go with a single instance database?

Thanks in Advance ðŸ™‚

Best Regards,
Rayan

Hi @rayanhimal,

Using unsupported versions is highly not recommended. Unsupported means not tested and not benchmarked by R&D. You are much more likely to run into any unforeseen issues than with a supported version and on top of that, you won’t be able to get support from either IFS Support or R&D for such issues. Adhering to the Supported Platforms guide published by R&D is the best practice.

Hope this helps!
