Hi friends!I have some questions about Custom Events in IFS CloudUnder which credentials does IFS execute a SQL Custom Event Action in IFS Cloud?Is there any documentation on how to trace custom events? More specifically I want to knowif a PLSQL fails, how can I see the ORA error (like for example a bug in the PLSQL Logic that normally would trigger some typical error such as ORA-00933 - “SQL Command Not Properly Ended”) When precisely a Custom Event was triggered (Something similar to the History Log bug for Custom Event Actions)Thanks!

We currently have IFS App10 UPD 15 MWS running on-prem on Windows 2016 servers. Our database is Oracle 12.2. Our client wants to migrate to their AWS Cloud.We are going to test this out with our development environment first as proof of concept. We will be moving a copy of the 12c database to Oracle 19c in the AWS cloud. IFS MWS will be created on a Windows 2016 server in the AWS cloud. We would like to know if anyone has done this already, and what issues were encountered and how they were solved.

After the Certificate change and during middleware server installation we are getting the below error. SEVERE: namespace must be set How can we slow this error?

Hi,I added a custom attribute in the SrvRequest but I cannot it see it in the Page (SrvRequestVirtual, because is the page Assistant), therefore I created a group in the page to enter the value. When the Service Request is created the value entered before is not there (please see screenshot below). Am I doing something wrong?

Where can I define on how a new engineering part part number should look like ?It should be 10 digits long with zero leading .. like 0000000001, 0000000002 etc.Also where can the next free “number” be defined (we are already at the number 0000054321) ?We are at ifs cloud 23.1.6Thanks, Roger 

Hi, I created a partially replicable IAL object.For some time later a problem occurred. There were duplicate rows. Then we understand there is a problem with the IAL. While setting partially replicable IAL. The app threw information about duplicate rows. I didn’t care about it before. Now I need to set the primary key for this IAL.The IAL includes only the INVENTORY_PART_IN_STOCK view. And for this table (INVENTORY_PART_IN_STOCK_TAB) primary key is “PART_NO, CONTRACT, CONFIGURATION_ID, LOCATION_NO, LOT_BATCH_NO, SERIAL_NO, ENG_CHG_LEVEL, WAIV_DEV_REJ_NO, ACTIVITY_SEQ, HANDLING_UNIT_ID”. How can I set the primary key for the IAL object?

Hi All,Our environment is SSO configured and users login using their network login.We installed the Print agent and tested reports. It looks like reports picks up the Print Agent and I can see Print Jobs in ‘Complete’ state in Print Manager.Printers we have are network printers and users need to login to the printer using their user network login id in order to print reports.Now the problem is, reports sent to the printer queue has their owner as the service running the IFS Print Agent. Therefore it is not possible to see jobs when login to printers using network user login and print reports.How can we change the printer queue owner to user login?

I decided to create this conversation as I don’t see this issue addressed clearly in other areas of the IFS Community. Although it is alluded to in other questions, no real answer is provided by IFS that has been satisfactory (or maybe it is but I could not find it).The question is simple: Why has IFS fully restricted the execution of any IFSAPP API’s to the user accounts given to Customer’s IT departments to connect to Oracle (that is, IFSINFO and IFSDBREADONLY)? What alternatives does IFS provide to Customer’s IT departments to perform some tasks that are SAFE that were entirely possible in APPS10?I would like to expand a bit on what I mean by SAFE API calls. In the past, IFS Consultants maintained that the state of IFS Database Access to Customer’s IT Departments was presenting a risk, as users (with the IFSAPP password) could do whatever CRUD operations they wanted against the base tables CIRCUMVENTING IFS API USAGE and that was very risky.F

Hi All,We have noticed that setting a default value using a BPE workflow to a field that gets its values from a fixed database enumeration, is not possible as it gives an error.  Ex: Automatic Payment Authorization field in Supplier → Invoice → General tab.  We have already tried the solution from the post Set default value for a list using BPA | IFS Community but we still keep getting this error.  Is this a bug in the standard application or are we missing something? Help! TIA

 We are currently on 23R2.10  The actual documents are now appearing in the tree section of the Document folder Navigator screen again.  The problem is that they now have a hyperlink to the Document Revision screen.  Our shop floor employees use this screen to review their work instructions.  We do not want them in the document revision screens.  How can I turn off this hyperlink?   We would prefer that it just be a view document feature. 

Hi We are in the process of upgrading to IFS cloud 24R1, and all the dates in our IFS cloud do not match our local time system. IFS Cloud uses American, and we are Europeans. As other posts in the community has noted, it is possible to change browser settings, but we are a production company with many not so tech savvy people. Is there a way to centrally force date formats? Either a parameter in system parameters, or a change in the used languages.Best Regards

Problem:FTP reader cannot proceed with OPTIMITY INTEGRATION - java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: Java heap space error in application message.checked int server logs ifsconnect,intserver and other logs and could find "Caused by: java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: Java heap space" error on intserver logs, Checked the heap dump and could not find heap issue. in this generated xml file one xml contains 75mb and other one is 56 mb, however file reader can read, For a 2GB heap space can process about 100 MB file. For larger files will have to increase the heap space allocated for the Integration Server accordingly. This issue was resolved by increasing int server memory up to 8 gb (both int servers 16gb) and that was processing file with 8GB heap memory. As of now this issue is sorted temporally . But in future if this file grows beyond 56MB this issue can reoccur in s

Hello, We are currently on 22R2 for IFS Cloud and we have encountered an error. I created a quick report to pull some values via SQL and we want to schedule this report to attach an excel file of the output onto an email and send it to our users.We scheduled the report and have the emailing set up properly, but we never received any emails. Hello.A user is asking the access to the custom lists screen so he can update a specified list.Is that possible to limit the access to certain lists to an user? Or do we have to make a developement, such as, a custom page or such?Thanks

Has anyone used the Microsoft Power Apps such as Microsoft Flow (new name is Microsoft Automate) to interact with IFS?   I’m wondering how similar these tools are to other No Code/Low Code solutions.  

Hello everyone,We have discovered the following:When we create a new request and want to assign the work to a specific person, no persons are suggested. As soon as we deactivate the “Apply Constrains” function, we see the persons, but it is only by a new request. Since we have several resource groups, we see the persons twice. In our test environment, we have no problem selecting a person and do not need to deactivate the “Apply Constrains” function: Does anyone have any idea what the problem is? Thank you!

Is there a way to grant database objects to permission sets in IFS Cloud-versions?Or is there a way to find out the Projection granting a specific DB-object?For example we get an error message saying:‘Must have the right to execute method [MPCCOM_ACCOUNTING_API.TRANSFER_TO_FINANCE] to be able to create a new batch schedule.’The correct Projection to get rid of the error may be ‘TransferInventoryTransactions’…

Hello, Exist some free or payed courses on IFS cloud? In youtube I find some videos, but the dont go deep in knowledge. I was also looking for courses which will improve my knowledge for example how to use advanced SQL commands in CF, how implement CF in IFS Report Designer, how to create new list or groups on some existing entity, data migration, or how to drag and drop some group/list from one entity to the other, etc...but I cant find it.  Thank you for you responses
