Could not Connect to SMTP Host - SSLHandshakeException

Hello, Dear Community Members,I hope everything's okay.IFS cannot send e-mail. Message language on a read only CF

Hello.On a CF, read only type, how can I get the user language?I have to display a message, the message is returned by a custom function.I thought to send the value of #USER_LANGUAGE# as a parameter, the variable can’t get the value, just the label.

The SQL query generated for a specific user in the 'Time Authorization' window cannot be executed

I have logged into the IFS App 10 Aurena as user TEST and have extracted the underlying query which popuates the data in the ‘Time Authorization’ window (it populates the relevant data in the window). When running this query directly in the DB logged in as user TEST produces the error “ORA-01031: insufficient privileges”.The same error is observed when running the query in SQL Query Tool in IEE as user TEST.How can we resolve this issue?Note: We must run this query as user TEST. Further the TEST user has been provided the IFS_FULL permission set as well.

Print Job stops running - Reason: Internal Server Error

In the last few weeks we have had errors on our Print Agent. Print jobs error and we have to reboot the server to resolve the issues. We tried just restarting the Print agent service but that did not help. We also tried restarting IIS but that did not help. We are using Crystal web services and we are currently on IFS APPS10 UPD#11.Has anyone seen these errors before?

URGENT: Issue with page configurations and custom fields in 23R1

Hello, We are currently testing out 23R1 since we’ve had bad experiences with it and have received multiple reports from customers that the update has ruined their environments and taken them offline. One of these issues is page configurations and custom fields. In previous IFS Cloud versions, you could add custom fields to entities, then add those custom fields via page designer to pages. For some reason, our test 23R1 environment seems to have lost the ability to perform this action, however, existing custom fields added to page configurations have carried over and remain. How can we fix this? Why is IFS and their partners not letting customers know about this massive change???? We have requested documentation on these changes multiple times but received no responses from IFS contacts. Not a good look!

Connection between View and GUI

Hi everybody, to gain information about underlying structures in IFS is quiet simple! Just Debug or use systeminfos and - voilá - the view(name) is clear. But imagine you lay hands on a QuickReport with - let’s say - 3 Views and you want to go the other way. Is there an easy way to see where a structure (Oracle View) is used? There must be some connection because, if we enhance IFS with customized fields and use _CFT and _CFV structures instead the original structures, there must be a certain point where to tell IFS: “now use View X instead of Y” Looking forward to hear from you.   All the best.   Michael   PS: By the way: The navigation tree must be stored somewhere as well. View Custom Attibutes from another Entity in IFS Cloud

Hello We have a handful of custom attributes on our BusinessOpportunity entity and we would like to show them on the Customer Order screen for an order that was created from a Business Opportunity. The process as i understand it to add those fields to the Customer Order page is: Add the BusinessOpportunity entity to the CustomerOrderHandling projection Create an entity Association and connect the parent/child relationship. Create the group of fields on the Customer Order and create a binding to connect the CustomerOrderSelector to the entity associationHowever, when I try to add the BusinessOpportunity entity to the CustomerOrderHandling projection, it doesn’t appear in the available entities. Which made me assume that the two entities are already connected by default, so I tried to add the custom fields to the layout and they are available. However they do not populate any data. My assumption is that this is because they are not being bound to the business opportunity, but I cant crea

How do you 'unset' your default homepage in Cloud 23R1?

It’s easy enough to set a default homepage, but how can we unset the default page so the user is shown the ‘Welcome’ page again with recent screens? I don’t see anything in Account Settings analogous to the IEE homepage that I can clear. Clearing the user profile does not clear the default homepage either. Is there another way?  I think I’m going to check the path to the ‘Welcome’ page with another user account who hasn’t made a default selection so I can copy/paste it, but that’s not feasible for everyone.

Apply criteria to a standard menu item

i want  ‘Create Pick List’ on the Quick Order Flow Handling Menu to be visible (or not visible) based on the value of a custom field held against the Customer. Is there a way to achieve this? Initially I was going to remove permission to it, and add in my own custom menu item which called the following code. Problem with error Failed executing query (ORA-01031: insufficient privileges)

Change IFSSYS password APPS 10

Hello,Apologies from the start as I'm very new to IFS. I’ve recently joined a company which hosts multiple IFS products in Azure. We have an issue with our Apps 10 instance and we are unable to load the admin console, all services appear to be running fine. We can login to Aurena and Enterprise explorer just fine as well. So I would like to run a reconfigure as we need to be able to access the admin console.Unfortunately the engineer who setup this Apps10 instance, left the company a week after I joined. We do not know the IFSSYS password, so I'm unable to run the reconfigure.Luckily I’ve been able to figure out the password for ifsapp, MWS_PWD and sysdba. I can also login to the oracle DB as sysdba. So I could run the below command and change the IFSSYS password on the DB and then try reconfigure, this seems like a very bad way of going about things. ALTER USER IFSSYS IDENTIFIED BY NewSuperStrongPassword;How would you go about solving this issue? Exception in Validation type workflow

​Hi,I'm trying to implement a workflow in which I will be giving an error msg if a custom field doesn’t contain a value when a condition met(Customer used conditional fields in APP9 to set mandatory the field as below and trying to achieve same using workflows in cloud since conditional fields are not available in cloud).To achieve this, I have created a validation type workflow as below and when I try to create a document revision using the New document revision assistant I’m getting an error as below(When I try to create a Document Revision using the Document Revision window it’s working as expected). Many thanks for your inputs on this issue.Best regards,Uvini​

Business Reporter Execution Server reports never finish

We have been using BRES for a few months now but it’s been quite slow recently. IFS Apps 10 update 12 (Soon to be Update 19)When we restarted it we noticed 4 reports started straight away but they never finish.BRES LogI found the reports on the BRES Report Queue but I can’t delete them.BRES Report Queue Can anyone tell me how I can clear these reports from the queue?Currently no other reports can run.ThanksPaul

Why are fields defaulting? 22R2

Hello, Currently, there is a field on the Supplier for Purchase Part page called “discount %”. It is set to mandatory from the get-go, but it also automatically defaults to zero, so the mandatory setting is a bit useless since it will never not have a value unless you delete the zero. Is there any way I can remove this zero from defaulting onto the field so we can make sure users are entering the correct value? I would normally create a workflow to do this but since this is before the part is created, it doesn’t seem like it would work. Thanks,Bryan

IFS page unresponsive for one user in Chrome

Hi All We are on 22.2.8. We have 1 user (out of 60+) who keeps getting ‘Page Unresponsive’ in Chrome. We have checked the user setup in IFS/Windows and its identical to colleagues. We have tested on a different PC, we have increased resources on his existing PC, we have tried all sorts and it still happens to him. Other than the next step which is for us to set up a separate/new user for him to test. We are running out of ideas so any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

Security based on data per Company/Site?

We have 1 company that has 3 sites, 2 of the sites are manufacturing locations (site 2100 and 2200) and one is for R&D (site 2300).  We want to limit the folks in R&D to only be able to view the data for the 2 manufacturing sites (2100 and 2200), but have full access to the R&D site (2300).  The data that we need to limit is the Inventory Part, Recipe and Routing.  I know one solution is to give them 2 different logins and set security to limit what they can/can’t do with permission sets and site assignment.  This takes extra user logins (licenses) that I would rather not have to do.  Is there any other way to do this?

Workflow Projection grants

Currently we are extensively using the workflow engine and are running into all types of issues.The latest one is that all used projections HAVE to be granted to the user that will trigger the workflow. If the user does not have enough acces, an error is given “Insufficient Privileges” causing the transaction to abort,In the past (using SQL) we did not have this problem since this would run under the IFSAPP user.Does anyone else have this issue? We're already in discussion with IFS R&D, but the only thing that came out of that is that they will put it on the limitation list for now and it might be fixed in the future.
