Hi, we are looking at Code Signing our IFS Apps 10 Enterprise Explorer client (likely going EV for Defender Smart Screen green tick).

It’s been quite some time since I’ve done any code signing and it appears it now requires a USB hard token as part of the process.

How are others/what is the recommended method for signing the EE client now, including on virtual servers?

Hi @Garak ,

Not sure what you meant by “it appears it now requires a USB hard token as part of the process.” but common practice is to use a DV certificate and use it for both Web server and IEE client. You can find some good inform on this from IFS in https://docs.ifs.com/techdocs/foundation1/020_installation/020_installing_fresh_system/010_planning_installation/020_security_considerations/010_Certificates/default.htm

Haven’t used a EV certificate for code signing my self but looking at the information that google has to offer i don’t see using one being a big issue.

Cheers
