If we remotely initialise a users Mobile App, how long does the request stay in the system. i.e. if they were off work for say 2 weeks for example, would it initialse when they next log on?

The short answer is Yes. A longer answer follows.
If you Initialize Device from the Mobile Dashboard, the INIT related messages will be inserted into mm_message_out and the mobile database will be created. Additional Real Time and Batch messages will continue to accumulate into mm_message_out for that device, until such time as the MOBILE DEVICE CLEANUP scheduled process deletes all existing messages and inserts the INITREQUEST message for that device.
