Create a Sales quotation. Release it. Print the quotation.
Then alter a line and save. Status of the quotation will be “Revised”. Try to delete a line of the quotation and you will see delete option is not available. It could only be cancelled. It seems sales quotation line could be deleted only in “Planned” status.
Sometimes, on revisions, there may be many lines that need to be removed, not cancelled. It is difficult for the users to manage the screens when these lines are still visible. It is difficult to identify quickly which lines are active.

This is working as designed since the system is designed to make a difference between those lines that are eventually cancelled and those that are lost. Those that are lost are archived and those that are cancelled are removed when creating the customer order or printing the next quotation. Also revising after the Sales Quotation released and printed is a firmer decision and should be tracked since to be more specific, it is cancelled with a cancellation reason.
Since the problem here is to filter out the active quotation lines from the cancelled ones, the following can be used to configure the quotation view.
Go to the relevant Sales Quotation window and RMB on the Quotation lines/ child Table. Select ‘Search in Context’. And select the ‘Configure’ button and then select ‘Status’ as the needed filter. There put a query as ‘<>Cancelled’ and save this special search with a preferred name. Then go for ‘Search’ Button. Please Note that this search is saved as a custom search where customer just have to select it in the previous search pop down menu whenever needed.
