Hi Community,

Can someone let me know when the Move Task on a Work Order is introduced and what the restrictions are?

Thanks in advance,

Move Work Tasks between Work Orders

Explanation

This activity is used to move a work task from one work order to another work order. Work task in a work order structure could be moved within the structure. Similarly, work task in non-structure work order could be moved to another non-structure work order.

Users can click Move Task and select the work order to which the work task to be moved from the Move Work Task dialog. This option is enabled on the Work TaskWork Tasks pages and Prepare Work Order\Work Tasks tab for work tasks in a non-structure work order, and for work tasks in a work order structure it will be available on the Work Order Structure Navigator page also. Additionally, the same functionality can be performed through the Work Order Planning Gantt page as well.

It is not recommended to execute move task with Maintenance Material Requisitions and/or Purchase Requisitions connected to several work tasks.

Prerequisites

  • The work task must have been defined.
  • If the work task belongs to a work order structure, the work order to which the work task is to be moved must exist in the same structure.
  • The status of both the source and destination work order and work task cannot be higher than Under Preparation.
  • Dependencies cannot exist on the work task.
  • Master/Duplicate connections cannot exist on the work task.
  • The source and destination work order cannot be component repair order originated or a repair work order.

System Effects

As a result of this activity, the work task is moved to another work order.

Thanks @Dimuthu Madhushan , that really helps

I also would like to know when it was introduced, but now at least I know what the Prerequisites are!
