Hi , when a new service order is created (Manually)is there a way to set a default contact  on all sites for a perticular cusrtome ?

eg : when a new service order for sitecode ‘’abc’’ is created , it should always default to a contract ‘’zyz’’ whoich the need to manually change the contract.?

You do not need to have Items as object of services in the contract nor in the service order.

In your contract when creating a new object of service you have the following object of service types:

  • Item.  (Default)
  • Product
  • Site
  • Memo

You would create a Site object of service using the Site ID you want this contract to apply.

When you create a service order and insert the site, the contract will be defined as well based on the site has coverage by that contract. You would not have to put an item as the service product in the service order, it will still pull up the site level contract.

Hi,

The only way to do this without creating a process flow is to configure Site based objects of service on the contract.

However, please be aware that any other objects of service even on different contracts that are on the product or item (serial number) will take precedence as the default contract when those are specified as the service product (object of service) for the service order.
