Hi ,

During the oracle installation is there a IFS recommended setting for the connection mode, If not what is the best for IFS application database which hosted in a LINUX server.

IFS recommended setting for Connection Mode is Dedicated server mode  and this option is pre selected if you’re using IFS DBCA templates.
All databases ALWAYS run in "dedicated" mode. It is not really even a "mode", it is a method of connecting. Shared mode requires configuration of dispatcher and restricts few DB administration operations.

Hope this helps.
