IFS 8 allowed the use of alpha values in the Outer Min and Outer Max fields on control plan parameters that had an attribute data type.  This does not appear to be the case in IFS 10. These values did not carry forward in the conversion script from IFS 8 to IFS 10 and when we attempt to add manually in IFS 10, we get a ‘Field Format is Invalid’ message.  Is there any configuration that is available that would enable the use of alpha values in the Min and Max fields.  Thank you.

ttmessenger,

Are you able to push those that should contain alpha values in categories?
So it will look like:

The category used here has been defined as:

So only two values are allowed.

Hi @eqbstal ,

I work with @ttmessenger  and your suggestion is exactly what we’ve done.  We’ve created category data types and category values.  We’ve updated our control plan templates and retrained our laboratory personnel to utilize the category fields.  Since we’ve done this everything is working fine.

Does anyone know if the screen shots above exist in 9? I cannot find them but basically have the same issue.
