Hi,

Does anyone know what the task (job) “Complete DP Data Refresh” functionally does and if it is an essential task to routinely schedule for a live running demand planner client?

I have a demand planner manual that details the available demand planner tasks however it does not disclose the specific actual actions that are carried out by “Complete DP Data Refresh” task and the impacts/changes they have on the client.

Thanks

Hi,

You should run this job if any changes are made to DP Basic Data – this includes base flows, combined flows, period versions, new forecast parts, updated Seasonal, Weekly or Period Profiles, updated Moveable Holidays, etc.

Typically, the minimum number of jobs that should be scheduled to run in a production environment are;

Aggregate Daily (schedule to run daily)
Create Forecast (as required, typically once per week, once per month)
Complete DP Data Refresh (used if any changes are made to the basic data)

I hope that this helps.
