FSM 6U23 - Attachment in Mobile

Forum|alt.badge.img+12

Hello,

I’m using the Attachment functionality in mobile to capture attachments in Receiving Unit PO screen. From the ReceivingUnitPO screen in Designer, selected the table Receiving_Unit and using the Attachment icon, selected user_def_num1 field to store the attachment.

After choosing an attachment and while the record is saved, the receiving_unit.user_def_num1 field stores a negative integer value such as -1, -2, etc., in the DB instead of the Attachment ID. Is there any step to be configured to capture the Attachment ID apart from the above? Kindly advice.

Kind Regards

Priyanka Cecilia

Hi @Priyanka Cecilia V ,

Besides the mobile design configuration, you also need to set up custom metadata to establish the relationship between the receiving_unit and attachment tables.  Best bet is to look at a baseline metadata example such as task_attachment to attachment.  You will also need to adjust Sync Rules if you want the attachments to sync back to the device after a change or Initialization.
