Hello Team !

I need to input a global internal transport leadtime (of the ‘From external supplier’ variety) that applies across all registered suppliers (we have 800+ in our database) for a given ‘Ship-via’ option : is there a way to do this without manually creating 800+ items in the ‘Supply Chain Matrix for Supplier’ screen - one for each Supplier address ?

Any help will be greatly appreciated - thanks in advance :)

Hi @jupilicaenut ,

Assuming you haven’t input an Internal Transport Leadtime for Suppliers earlier (i.e., assuming current Internal Transport Leadtime = 0), you can use ‘Find and Replace’ functionality to quickly input Internal Transport Leadtime for all the Suppliers with a given ‘Ship-via’ code.

Below I have shown the steps to insert the leadtime for Site using ‘Supplier to Site Supply Chain Parameters’. Similarly, if needed, you can use ‘Supplier to Customer Supply Chain Parameters’ window to insert the leadtime for Customers.

  • Go to ‘Supplier to Site Supply Chain Parameters’ window and search for the records with the given ‘Ship-via’ code
  • After the records are retrieved, right click on the first record under ‘Internal Transport Leadtime’ column> Edit> Find and Replace
  • In the resulting dialog box, go to ‘Replace’ tab and click ‘Replace All’ after setting ‘Find What’ to 0, ‘Replace with’ to your global internal transport leadtime & ‘Look In’ to Internal Transport Lead Time. After replace action is finished, save the window.

P.S.- Please note that this method is possible only when Supplier to Site Supply Chain Parameter records are already existing.

Regards,
Kethaka

@jupilicaenut  the only other way that I could think of you imply creating 800+ lines in the Supply Chain Matrix for Site → From External Supplier tab.

The only site specific parameter that influences leadtime calculation and can be set at Site level is the Picking Leadtime (will be considered when calculating due dates for customer delivery).

Hi Kethaka,

Thank you for your reply !

I don’t have existing records in Supplier-to-Site Supply Chain Parameter at the moment, but my IFS/IT team should be able to help me with a script to mass-create these records first, then use your method whenever I need to mass-update any of the leadtimes :)

Best regards,
Julien
