REFRESH IPR DATA

Hi,

In the Supply Chain News for IFS Cloud 25R2, these fields are explained as follows:

New Refresh IPR Data scheduling parameters. The fields are used to control how far the enhanced IPR Supply Plan is calculated into the future when delivery routes are involved.

Forward

The Forward value is the maximum number of days that IPR will look ahead when generating the future order and delivery plan.

• Acts as an upper limit on the calculation horizon.
• The algorithm will not continue beyond this number of days, even if the required number of records has not been generated.
• Must be greater than the Minimum Number of Delivery Schedule Days.

Records per Part

The Records per Part value defines the minimum number of future replenishment cycles (order cycles) that should be generated for each part.

• IPR attempts to create at least this many future supply plan records.
• These records are generated using the actual delivery route order and delivery day patterns.
• If the minimum number of records is not achieved within the Minimum Number of Delivery Schedule Days, IPR continues calculating further into the future until either:
  • the required number of records is reached, or
  • the Forward limit is reached.

Minimum Number of Delivery Schedule Days

This defines the minimum time horizon over which the supply plan should be accurately calculated using the delivery route schedule.

• IPR will calculate order and delivery dates using the actual delivery route pattern for at least this number of days.
• The objective is to ensure a realistic supply plan over a meaningful planning horizon, even if only a few replenishment cycles occur during that period.
• If the required number of records is not generated within this range, calculation continues beyond it until the Records per Part target is achieved (subject to the Forward limit).

Practical Example

Suppose you set:

• Forward = 365
• Records per Part = 12
• Minimum Number of Delivery Schedule Days = 180

IPR will:

1. Calculate the supply plan accurately using delivery route patterns for at least 180 days.
2. Check whether at least 12 future replenishment cycles have been generated.
3. If only 8 cycles exist within 180 days, continue extending the horizon.
4. Stop when either:
   • 12 cycles have been generated, or
   • 365 days is reached.

These parameters were introduced in IFS Cloud 25R2 specifically to improve the accuracy of the IPR Supply Plan when using Delivery Routes, allowing the system to generate multiple future order and delivery cycles using the correct route schedule rather than only accurately calculating the first delivery.
