We are trying to run DDMRP on manufactured and purchased parts.  The quantity calculation is perfect, and is lifting the stock out of the yellow zone, with a requisition due in 13 days time (the lead time).  However, it is ignoring any other requirements further out in time - here there are two orders, one due in March, and the other in May.  I would like to see req's for these as well as they will then become part of the Machine Load per work centre.  Without this, sudden capacity demands may be invisible until the order date reaches the lead time.

Hello,

This is how DDMRP works, it does not look beyond unprotected lead time. You can change how far out in the future DDMRP should consider Demand Spikes. You do this setup in the Buffer Profiles page. This affects the Net Flow Equation and you can get a larger Shop Order Requisition with due date at the end of the unprotected lead time. But the general answer is NO - by its design. However I think personally that it would be nice if DDMRP can continue far out in the future and just do normal MRP  netting and just create internal supply, NOT creating any SO/PO reqs. Then these internal supply perhaps could be seen by CRP-engine. I have not thought so much about it.

In the attached screenshot: If Order Spike Horizon Factor is set to 200%, system will consider Order Spikes within 2 * Unprotected Lead Time.

Cheers
