The customer info object does not exists Serial maintenence Aware

I do not have IFS8 at the moment, I only can check this in IFS10.

First thought was that the customer was set inactive, but in IFS10 I cannot reproduce that.

So I guess it sound like a bug in IFS8.

Can you explain a bit more about  the process you follow? Maybe I get an other idea as well when I understand your process.

I will try to explain :)

There is a new service contract on a unit and they want to make this unit Maintenance aware, that is when the error message appears. 

Could there be something in the “Customer” transaction missing? Some mandatory info for maintenance?

I meant more the process of creating Serial Parts and Serial Objects. It is good to know where you need it for, but when I understand how you create the Objects, then I can try to reproduce it.

Further more, you  need a Customer with a delivery address and the Order tab also needs to be filled, I guess that is the only restriction.
