Issue with Push Notifications for 23R2 SU14 | IFS MWO Service

Forum|alt.badge.img+2

Hello,

We recently took SU14 on 23R2 and believed that push notifications now should work (after we have read this:

https://community.ifs.com/announcements-notifications-280/important-announcement-regarding-push-notifications-on-android-for-ifs-cloud-mobile-users-47407

We are still facing an issue to recieve push notifications.

We are using IFS MWO Service 25.1.1406.0 and push notifications is enabled on the device.

I am quite new on MWO and trying to add NOTIFICATION_HUB_PATH and NOTIFICATION_HUB_URL - are there any standard end points to use and what should be the setup?

The log looks like this:

And the background job gets executed.

Any tips?

Thanks,

Olle

@olllo353 please disregard above, just realized that @elin already sent you the information.

This error you’re seeing indicates that the server component failed to authenticate with the Notification Hub, which indicates something wrong with either parameter values. Can you double check that you have not missed anything at all from what @elin sent you please?

Best regards,

Rukmal

Hi @Rukmal Fernando,

I'm experiencing an issue where I’m not receiving push notifications on my phone. Notifications are enabled on my mobile device, and everything appears to be correctly configured in IFS Cloud—there are no error messages or indications of an issue.

Do you have any tips on how to proceed?

Thanks in advance! 😊

@olllo353 did this work previously? does it work on any other devices and what’s different about them? what is your device?

Also, have you checked out the Push Troubleshooting guide? I’d say the linked section and onwards is more relevant for you: https://docs.ifs.com/techdocs/24r2/030_administration/040_native_apps/095_troubleshooting/40_troubleshooting_push/#configure_the_notification_hub_connection_strings_within_the_ifs_database

Best regards,

Rukmal

Thanks for your answer @Rukmal Fernando

This has not worked previously, since we where on an UPD where it didnt work. And now when we installed SU14 on 23R2 we hoped for the better :)

It doesnt work on any type of device and I have checked the troubleshooting guide - and dont get it up and running..

Is it possible to test with standard IFS settings on below picture for Notification HUB PATH/URL?

Best regards,

Olle

Hello @olllo353, Based on the above screen capture, we investigated the app params of NOTIFICATION_HUB and NOTIFICATION_HUB_URL. It turns out that both of these app params are used for service app in Apps 10 applications.

If the environment is used for ServiceEngApp in 23R2 environment, we are going to send you the correct NOTIFICATION_HUB and NOTIFICATION_HUB_URL.

Thanks & Best regards,

Edward

Hi @elin

Thanks for input! Have tested the app parameters you provided and now I get an error:

Are there any other settings needed - this environment has been updated from APPS10 if that gives any clues..

If I use the old ones - no error appears.

Best regards,

Olle

Hello @Rukmal Fernando and @elin

After several restarts/reconnect and INIT’spush notifications now appear on my phone😀

Did not work the first time and after disconnecting/reconnecting a few times and take the following INIT’s it works. Took the instructions from your PM @Rukmal Fernando and did it a few times and it worked.

Now next steps is to send notifications on defined happenings :)

Thanks a lot!

Happy regards,

Olle
