Idea: Mobile Work Order - Use of SMS/text to update App in Offline Mode

Do we have the functionality to integrate SMS/text message to update the MWO App when it is in offline mode? If the technician receiving the Work Order is in a remote area where mobile internet data is not available, SMS/Text message option may be leveraged to update key information in the MWO App in offline mode.

From a security point of view this is difficult to do. We encrypt the local database and to do something like this we would have to open this up to allow updates from the outside. This would pose a security risk as it could be used to hack the local database and therefore expose IFS Applications.

@Maithree  The SMS is not the problem here. Its the exposing of the local database and the potential exposing of IFS Applications based on updating the local database.
