We have a custom field in ‘My Work Detail’ Page under ‘Task Information’ that is set as required however user still can by pass this field and complete the work.

Does the user make any updates to the task? I would guess that mandatory fields are only checked when you save a record. Have you tried changing the description and then saving while your custom field is empty?

Hi,

In addition to what Alex mentioned, have you approved and published jt_task_mob_all view under JtTask entity through additional views in Entity Configuration(Aurena)

Thank you for the reply Alex.

Yes, it will activate only if we make something editable on the screen. I just wanted to know whether there is a way to make it mandatory without making any changes on the screen, e.g., making it mandatory before changing any statuses.

Thank you for the reply Dirolk.

Yes, jt_task_mob_all enabled in the Approved views.

I don't think that is possible.

@Rasmika Navaratne if I understood correctly, you want to do some additional validations (e.g.: ensure that your CF has a value) at the point of a state transition like Completing work, right? If so, echoing @Alexander Heinze this is not possible on the Configuration level, so if this is a key requirement, you’d have to look at customizing the logic instead.

Best regards,

Rukmal
