Hello everyone,
As Workday is not currently integrated with assystWEB, we receive a daily Excel report from our People Services (HR) team. This report is imported into assystETM/iPaaS to automate the creation of Contact User, Contact User Alias, and Assyst User records.
To support this process, we’ve relabelled specific fields within the Contact User form:
- Usr Flag 1 is now labelled as “Original Hire Date”
- Usr Flag 2 is labelled as “Termination Date”
These fields allow us to capture the contractual start and end dates for each end user.
I’m seeking guidance on the following:

Date Formatting in User Flag 1
How can we format the string value in the Usr Flag 1 field so that it’s correctly interpreted as a date (e.g. 01/04/2025)? -
Automated End-Date Checks
I’d like to configure a new Channel and Data Mapper in assystETM/iPaaS to perform a daily check.
The goal is to identify any user records where the Termination Date is in the past relative to today’s date, and automatically mark those records as discontinued.
This will help support and automate our bi-monthly audit process.
Please let me know if you can provide guidance or documentation on how best to configure this.
